11/25/17 — James Boyd “JB” Carter
James Boyd “JB” Carter was born on October 19, 1931 in Waverly, TN, the
son of the late Roy and Nellie Warden Carter. He was promoted to glory
on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2017 in Vanderbilt Hospital in
Nashville, TN, with his family at his side. He was met in heaven by his
parents, three brothers, Wayne, Franklin, and Bill Carter; one sister,
Bettie Jean Burd; and one grandchild, Jeremy Wayne Trail….it was a grand
reunion. He is survived by his wife, Nell Katherine Wannamaker Carter;
four children and their spouses, Donald and Janet Carter, Randal and
Nancy Carter, Glenda and Joel Trail, and Kathy and Rick Greenwood; eight
grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Patty Perryman and
her husband, Don; nephews, Jimmy and Darlene Burd, Keith and Teresa
Perryman, and Cathy and Kevin Petticoles.
Boyd was a graduate of Waverly Central High School in Waverly, TN. Upon
graduation, he moved to Detroit, MI, where he married Nell Wannamaker
July 2, 1950, and they celebrated 67 years together. Boyd was a graduate
of a four-year apprenticeship machinist program at Wolverine Tube in
Detroit, MI, where he worked for a number of years. In 1965, he moved
his family to Manchester, TN, where he was employed by AEDC for over 28
years, and retired in 1993. He was a 50-year member of the Machinist
Union. His hobbies included farming and wood working, but his greatest
love was his wife and family. Nothing pleased him more than to have
thirty or more people crowd into his home for fun, food and fellowship.
He was a member of Tullahoma Assembly of God and a devoted Christian.
The services were held at Coffee County Funeral Chapel on Saturday,
November 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM, with his sons, Donald and James Randal
Carter officiating. The burial was at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens and was
lead by his nephew, Jimmy Burd.

11/26/17 — Sammy William Thompson
Funeral services for Mr. Sammy William Thompson, age 50, of Manchester, TN will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the funeral home. Sammy passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, TN.
Sammy was born in Manchester, the son of Ray and Dale Thompson. He was a former crew foreman at the Manchester Water Department. Sammy was a big family man with a big heart. He was very outgoing and had a huge sense of humor. Sammy was called “Papa” by everyone, and was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother.
In addition to his parents, Sammy is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Thompson; three sons, Steven (Amber) Trail, Chris (Sarah) Sherrill, and Jamison Metcalf; four daughters, Tasha (Pamela Jacobs) Thompson, Jennifer (Aften Craven) Lowery, Kayla (Daniel) Gilliam, Alesha (Justin Sullivan) Thompson; one brother, Johnny Walker; two sisters, Ruby Todd and Vickie (Joe) Elledge; one brother-in-law, Hugh (Amy) Sherrill; fifteen grandchildren; and multiple nieces, nephews, and other family members.

11/28/17 — Eddie Glenn Arp
Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Glenn Arp, age 55, of Cowan, TN will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the service time at 2. Eddie passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Eddie was born in Cleveland, OH the son of Paul and Rose Arp. He was in the construction business. Eddie loved being outside in nature. He was a huge TN Vols fan, loved hunting, camping and playing pool. He was a fun loving and easy-going guy who loved to make people laugh.
Eddie is preceded in death by his mother, Rose Arp; and brother, Michael Arp. He is survived by his father, Paul Arp; three brothers, Paul Arp, Jr., Ronnie Arp, Daniel (Trish) Arp; two sisters, Angie Henson and Wanda Arp; and multiple nieces, nephews, and other family members.

11/26/17 — Lorraine Coop Williams
Williams, Lorraine Coop, passed this life on Thursday, November
23rd, 2017 at Raintree Manor in McMinnville at the age of 89. Mrs.
Williams was born in Lynchburg to the late Paul and Minnie Burt Coop.
During her life she worked as the Guidance Office Secretary at Tullahoma
High School and was a charter member of Highland Baptist Church in
Tullahoma. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in
death by her husband, Charles Henry Williams; one brother, James Paul
Coop; and one sister, Mary Jo Jackson and her husband Leonard. She is
survived by her daughters, Sara Steelman and her husband Bruce of
Woodbury and Nancy Gilbert and her husband John of Bon Aqua; one sister,
Bobbie Sue Welch and her husband Jack of Decherd; three grandchildren,
Charles Steelman and his wife Kayla, Paul Steelman, and Ashton Guerrero
and her husband Raphael; two great grandchildren, Josephine and Gus; and
numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday,
November 25th, 2017 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral
services will be held on Sunday, November 26th, 2017 at 1:00pm at Turkey
Creek United Methodist Church in Moore County with Bro. Sidney Gibson
officiating. Burial will follow at Turkey Creek United Methodist
Cemetery.

Marie passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare – Harton in Tullahoma, TN.
Marie was born in Manchester, TN the daughter of Howard and Rita Weddington. She was a member for over 5 years at Farris Chapel United Methodist Church in Winchester, TN. Marie adored her nieces and nephews, loved her four pets, and loved music, taking trips, and scrapbooking. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, and aunt.
Marie is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Cliff and Frances Weddington; and maternal grandparents, Frank and Harley Britton. She is survived by her loving husband, John McClure; parents, Howard and Rita Weddington; in-laws, Wayne and Jane McClure; two brothers, Duston (Tiffany) Frasier and Lee (Cindy) Weddington; two sisters, Selena (Joey) Green and Nicol Free; eight nephews, Justin Reed, Blake Jacobs, Eathan Frasier, D.J. Frasier, Bryce Chrisulis, Braylen Murphy, Russell Frasier, and Charlie McClure; and nine nieces, Kaylee Murphy, Rachelle Weddington, Jessica Weddington, Vanessa Weddington, Zoey Johns, Jazzy Murphy, Jayda Reed, Amber Weddington, and Sarah Jane McClure.

Mr. John R. Thompson 63, of Fayetteville passed Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Donelson Health Care. He was the son of the late Robert Lee and Lena Goodrich Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Ronnette ” Tootie” Thompson of Fayetteville, TN;
Three daughters, JonSheka Thompson of Fayetteville, TN; Katrise and Shanna Thompson both of Maryville, TN;
Step daughter, LaTosha Eakins of Fayetteville, TN;

12/2/17–John Abraham Williams
Mr. John Abraham Williams passed away at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee on November 16, 2017 at the age of 28.
Mr. Williams was born on January 3, 1989 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to the late Aaron H.S. Williams, Sr. and Nellie Goodman Williams.
He loved music, especially playing drums at church services. He was also a fan of football and basketball.
He is survived by sisters Osha Whaley and her husband Kenneth of Madison, Tennessee and Tamara Harp and her husband Jerrade of Orlando, Florida. His brother Aaron H.S. Williams, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Tullahoma, Tennessee survive. Also surviving are six nieces and seven nephews.
Visitation with family members will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home’s chapel. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Tullahoma, Tennessee.

11/21/17–David Houston “Soupy” Campbell
Funeral service for David Houston “Soupy” Campbell, age 46 of Manchester, will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at 1 PM at Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery in Tracy City. Visitation with the family will begin at 11 AM until time of service. David passed away Friday, November 17 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester. “Soupy” was born on November 29, 1971, to the late Earl Campbell and Lucy Sanders in Altamont, TN. He loved being outdoors, especially fishing, and driving big trucks. He is survived by his children, Justin Young of Altamont, Chantel Campbell of Manchester, and Brittany Harrell of Tullahoma; brothers, Greg (Fawn) Parson of Palmer, Craig Parson of Monteagle, Earl Campbell, Jr. of Coalmont, and Thomas Collins of Manchester; grandchildren, Sawyer, Rylan, and Cameron; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and a host of friends.

11/22/17 — Marilyn Joyce Trail
Funeral services for Mrs. Marilyn Joyce Trail, age 78 of Manchester, will be conducted on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Manchester Funeral Home with Brother Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Gnat Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Mrs. Trail passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at St. Thomas West.
Joyce was born on May 18, 1939 in Coffee County to the late Robert E. and Ora Rigney Brandon. She was retired from Batesville Casket Company and was an avid collector. She loved gardening and enjoyed entering her items in the Coffee County Fair every year. Mrs. Trail loved flowers, antique malls and spending time with her family. She was known by her family for her thoughtfulness, and she never missed sending a birthday card to them.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Brandon, Jr.; sister, Janice Tucker, grandson, Justin Todd. Survived by her loving husband, Virgil Trail; son, Terry Miller (Susie); daughters, Teresa Gannon (George H.), Loretta Bennett (Donnie), Tammy Trail; brothers, James Brandon, Charles Brandon; grandchildren, Dusty Todd, Terry Miller II, Lacey Taylor, Tiera Trail, Tiana Norman, George M. Gannon; great-grandson, Blake Todd.

11/24/17–Glenn Martin Branham
Glenn Martin Branham was born in Deland, Florida and graduated from high
school in Franklin, TN. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force and was
trained as a Radar Electronics Technician. He attended Motlow Community
College majoring in Electronics Engineering. Later he worked for Laser,
Inc., and the U. T. Space Institute; and retired after approximately 30
years from Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) in Tullahoma,
TN.
Glenn was married to Alma Lee Brasel for approximately 42 years and is
survived by step son, John Anthony Leonetti, Jr. and wife Carolyn and 2
step grandchildren, John and Andrea; and step son, Phillip Bennett
Leonetti and wife Diane; and his brother Gus Warren.
Glenn was soft spoken, kind and patient. He will be missed. Glenn loved
music and played harmonica and dulcimer proficiently. He played at many
Ole Time Fiddler and Dulcimer conventions throughout Middle Tennessee.
He performed and demonstrated how to play dulcimers for Paul Pyle at
these conventions for many years. Glenn liked the mathematics involved in
fretting stringed instruments and the various modes of music. His depth
of knowledge in electronics and speaker acoustics was astounding. He
passed his knowledge of acoustics to his step grandson, John Leonetti,
who is a successful mechanical engineer in Arizona. Glenn also
encouraged Phillip Leonetti in learning the nylon string guitar and
singing folk music. Glenn and Phillip performed together at many arts and
crafts shows and fiddler conventions in the 1970s.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 24, 2017
at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with burial to follow. Mr. Branham passed
away on November 8, 2017 at his residence.
