12/17/17 — James “Jimmy” Thomas Smith, Jr.

Mr. James “Jimmy” Thomas Smith, Jr. passed away at Tennova-Harton Medical
Center in Tullahoma, Tennessee on December 12, 2017 at the age of 66.

Mr. Smith was born to the late James Thomas and Barbara Stamper Smith on
January 29, 1951 in Coffee County, Tennessee.

A carpenter by trade, he was a veteran of the United States Army and a fan
of NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Patton Smith along with his children
Jennifer Murray and her husband Reggie of La Vergne, Tennessee and James
“Jamie” Thomas Smith, III and his wife Shannon of Manchester, Tennessee.
Also surviving is his sister Vicky Smith of Tullahoma, Tennessee and his
brother Jaun Smith and his wife Julie of North Carolina. Surviving
grandchildren are Shay and Parker Smith along with Trevor and Triston
Murray. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation with family members will be held from 12 p.m. until 1p.m. on
Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. Bro. Tim MeGhee
will officiate at a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m.

Atha Lee Irvine

Atha Lee Irvine, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, December 12,
2017 at Tennova – Harton Hospital at the age of 83 years. A memorial
service will be held at a later time in Alabama.

Mrs. Irvine, a native of Addison, AL, was the daughter of the late Lewis
and Bertha Burnett Hood. She enjoyed quilting, doing crafts and watching
the news on TV. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and visiting with her
neighbors. Some of her favorite times were spent playing cards and board
games with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, William
James Irvine; brothers, Vernon, Cecil, Doyle, Herman and Mitchell Hood and
sister, Velma Story.

Mrs. Irvine is survived by two sons, Ricky Sexton of Cullman, AL and Terry
Weddle and his wife, Barbara of Indianapolis, IN; daughters, Sheree
Cleveland and her husband, Lee of Tullahoma and Sandie Collins and her
husband, Steve of Snead, AL; brother, Fred Hood and his wife, Kathy of
Cullman, AL; sister, Ozell Weddle and her husband, Frank of Indianapolis,
IN; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

12/14/17 — Carolyn Janet Pack Blackburn

Carolyn Janet Pack Blackburn died from a lingering illness on December 9, 2017, at NHC in McMinnville, surrounded by loved ones.  She was born September 9, 1944, in Sewanee, Franklin County, TN, daughter of Ernest William and Beulah May Gilliam Pack.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Anthony Loring Pack, Steven Monroe Pack, and Howrie Troy Pack, and sister Deborah Lynn Pack.
She is survived by sons James Gregory Keel, McMinnville, Stephan Benjamin (Courtney) Blackburn, Manchester, daughter Caroline Juliana Blackburn (Lou Bahor) Kennesaw, GA, grandson Benjamin Lucas Blackburn, sisters Pamela Marlene (Glenn) Hodges, McMinnville, Mary Helen (Phillip) Fullhart, Muncie, IN, Myra Lucille (Don) Morgan, McMinnville, and brothers Jeffrey Daniel Pack, Ypsilanti, MI, James Cecil (Mildred) Pack, Marion, IL.
She was employed at John Oster for ten years in quality control.  She later dedicated her time to wood crafting, running a restaurant, dealing in antiques and tax preparation among other things as she had a variety of interests and vocations.  She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Kenneth Kirby officiating. Visitation Wednesday December 13, 2017 at 5:00-9:00 PM Interment will follow services Thursday at Harrison Cemetery, Sewanee, Tn.

12/13/17 — Lula M. Haddon

Lula M Haddon of Tullahoma passed this life on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at
the age of 80 years. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, December
13, 2017 at 12 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow at
Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, December 12
at Daves-Culbertson from 5 -8 PM.

Mrs. Haddon, a native of Winchester, was the daughter of the late Jim and
Mae Lindley Sons. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of
everybody. She
also enjoyed reading her Bible and going to church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary
Kenneth Haddon; four brothers, Freddie, Jimmy, Richard and Kenneth Sons;
one sister, Maryann Mitchell and two grandchildren, Michael Barnes and
Chasity Coker.

Mrs. Haddon is survived by daughters, Debbie Wright and her husband, Danny
Barrett of Manchester, Becky Morris and her husband, Royce of Fayetteville,
Roberta Morris and her life partner, Abdul Alsaidy of Rockvale, Judy Haddon
of Tullahoma, Tammie Coker of Tullahoma, Lauretta Steel of Smyrna and Tina
Buford and her husband, Clifton of Tullahoma; sisters, Lillie Perry of
Manchester, Alice Moorehead and her husband, Jimmy of Fayetteville and
Carolyn Brazil of Tullahoma; eleven grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren.

12/14/17 — Ella R. Wilburn Losey

Ella R Wilburn Losey, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, December
9, 2017 at the Lynchburg Nursing Center at the age of 96 years. A memorial
service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 4 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning
at 2:30 PM.

Mrs. Losey, a native of Santa Rosa, CA, was the daughter of the late Samuel
and Olive Winter Wilburn. She was a bookkeeper and enjoyed working in the
family owned business. She loved music, especially Lawrence Welk songs.
She
also enjoyed traveling and she and her husband, Gerald Losey traveled
across the country in their motorhome visiting their children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Clarence
Lyle Scott and Gerald D. Losey; sons, Paul, Ronnie and Jerry Losey;
daughter, Ruthie Losey; brother, Elvin Wilburn and sisters, Nora, Minnie,
Madabelle and Barbara.

Mrs. Losey is survived by one son, Ray Scott of Boise, Idaho; one daughter,
Sandra Scott of Tullahoma; thirteen grandchildren and several great
grandchildren.

12/10/17 — Daniel Keith Simmons

Daniel Keith Simmons completed his earthly fishing trip December 7, 2017 when Jesus Christ needed him to fish in Heaven. He passed away at home with his family at his side. He was married to Frances Ferrell Simmons for 55 years. Daniel Keith Simmons was born January 29, 1936 to Parmer Oten Simmons and Nell Hastings Simmons in Hillsboro, Tennessee; he was 81 years old when the disease of cancer decided to destroy his earthly body.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Dr. Kerry Walker and Mr. Matt Gluck officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.

Daniel was a Christian and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. His relationship with his church family and his Lord provided comfort during his last months, not only to him but to the entire family. He had turned his life over to the Lord June 1957. Daniel served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1965 when he received an Honorable Discharge on June 30, 1965. During his time in the Army, he was a Military Police Officer, then changing his MOS when he was shipped to Germany. He served most of his active service in Germany on the North Point Army Base. In June 1961, Daniel was awarded the good conduct medal and given the rank of SP4 (E4) before returning to the states. He was proud to serve his country. Daniel retired from Carrier Corp. Morrison, Tennessee in 1998, enjoying his 19 years of retirement, fishing, playing pool, and traveling.

Daniel as an avid fisherman, enjoying so much of his time on Normandy Lake where he caught his share of crappie. He had fished many lakes around, but Normandy was his favorite. He had the gift of gab; he could walk up to any stranger and have a conversation with them. For many years he was a member of the Senior Citizen Center of Tullahoma where he would go every day and play pool with a group of dedicated pool players. He loved to feed and watch the birds around his home. Daniel loved to go to the flea market just to talk to people, usually his Saturday morning pastime.

He traveled quite a bit, visiting all 50 states, Canada, and many cruises; visiting Aruba, Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, and going thru the Panama Canal which was very different from just sailing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Parmer Oten Simmons and Nell Hasting Simmons, paternal grandparents: Albert and Dovie Jane Bryant Simmons, maternal grandparents Silas and Sallie Hoover Hastings, one brother Doyle Kelso Simmons, and one nephews, Terry Phillip Simmons.

Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Frances Ferrell Simmons; two daughters, Patricia Gail Simmons Pamplin (Randy) of Tullahoma, Dana Colette Simmons Chaffin(Brett) of Tullahoma; two grandchildren, Joshua Blake Kingery (Jessica) of New Market, Alabama, Jennifer LeAnne Kingery Mansfield (Dustin) of Tullahoma; three step-grandchildren, Abigail and Olivia Chaffin, Joshua Pamplin; three great-grandchildren, Avett Marshall Kingery, Charlotte Kaufmann, Eli James Branch and his special kitty cat, Charley; one sister, Lillian Hunt of Melbourne, Florida; one sister-in-law, Naomi Simmons of Manchester, Tennessee; four nieces and nephews; nine first cousins survive.

Pallbearers are Gordon Jackson, Mike Hogan, Ronny Gray, Ronnie Brinkley, Tom Rutledge, Carl Craig, Kenny Casteel, Tommy Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Highland Rim Foundation, Inc. 110 E. Lauderdale St., Tullahoma, TN 37388 of to Trinity Baptist Church Building Maintenance Fund, 1513 McArthur St., Manchester, TN 37355.

12/13/17 — Tennky Lee Hibdon

Funeral services for Ms. Tennky Lee Hibdon, age 85, of Manchester, TN
will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at
Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gnat Hill Cemetery, 4342
Gnat Hill Road, Manchester, TN 37355. The family will receive friends
from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 12,
2017. Ms. Hibdon passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at her
residence.

Tennky was born in Manchester, TN the daughter of the late John Elery and
Ada Marie Sargent. Tennky was given her name by her parents combining
the abbreviations for Tennessee and Kentucky. She loved Jesus and had a
very spiritual awareness and relationship with God. She was a supervisor
at Eden Industries for over 25 years. She loved spending time with her
family, and was a very devoted grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Tennky is also preceded in death by her first
husband, James William Ferrell; second husband, Gentry Hibdon; one
brother, James Sargent; three sisters, Edith Haley, Blanch Hayden, and
Nancy Yager; and one daughter-in-law, Sue Hibdon. Tennky is survived by
three sons, Jimmy (Jenny) Ferrell, Hollis (Val) Ferrell, and Mark Hibdon;
one daughter, Karla (Roland) Marsh; one brother, Robert “Bob” (Carol)
Sargent; four sisters, Catherine Sargent, Helen Hayden, Ruby (Harold)
Shelton, and Faye (Bobby) Davis; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-two
great-grandchildren; and four great, great-grandchildren.

Zena Mae Allen

Funeral services for Mrs. Zena Mae Myers Allen, age 95 of Hillsboro, will be conducted on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Mrs. Allen passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Tullahoma.

Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Sally Myers; her husband, Harlan P. “H.P.” Allen, Sr.; her daughter, Betty Allen; 12 siblings. Survived by her sons, Joe Thomas Allen (Mary), Harlan P. Allen, Jr.; daughter, Patricia “Pat” Hutto (Billy), Shellye Dickerson (Steve); 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.

12/10/17–Eva L. Jackson

Graveside services for Mrs. Eva L. Jackson, age 87, of Manchester, TN will be conducted at 12:30 PM on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, with burial following. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on Sunday at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Jackson passed away at her residence on Wednesday, December 06, 2017.

Eva was born in Knoxville, TN, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Icey Carr Smith. She worked in textiles for White Stag. Eva enjoyed gardening, traveling, and loved her pets.

In addition to her parents, Eva was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee R. Jackson; four brothers, Earl, Roy, Clyde, and Roger Smith; and two sisters, Helen Whitsen and Irene Fowler. She is survived by one son, Dale Jackson; and one sister, Gladys Floyd.

Lonnie James Barber

Lonnie James Barber was born on September 26, 1945, and died on December 4, 2017. Lonnie passed away peacefully at his home in Manchester, TN. He was born in Lodi, CA to James and Jackie (Lurleen) Barber. He served in the army in Germany from 1963-1966. He was the lead singer for the band The Renegades and he played a mean guitar. He was a true artist from painting, to blowing glass, and the beautiful handmade guitars he created. In 1986, he married Carol Jean Conway and she survives him. He is also survived by his mother, Lurleen (Jackie) Stinehart of Reno, NV; his sister, Darlene (Stinger) Lastinger of Reno, NV; brother, Larrel Gene Barber of Reno, NV; children, James (Jennifer) Barber of Vancouver, WA, Melissa (Robert) New of Vancouver, WA, and Micki Wright Slife of Sidney, OH. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Aaron and Nikolas Barber, Mariah, Mallory, Mia, and Easton Slife, and Jack New. He loved his grandchildren very much even the ones he adopted as his own. He will be greatly missed.
