12/25/17–Jeff Simmons

Funeral services for Mr. Jeff Simmons, age 53, of Manchester, TN, will be
conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Manchester Funeral
Home Chapel with Brother Joel Gregory and Brother Ray Marcrom
officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Cemetery in
Hillsboro, TN. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 AM until
time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Simmons passed away on Friday,
December 22, 2017 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, TN.

Jeff was born in Manchester, TN, the son of J.D. and Faye Winton Simmons.
He was a long-time member of Forest Mill Church of Christ and was
employed at Kasai, formerly M-Tek, for over 25 years. Jeff loved Atlanta
Braves baseball and football, and especially coaching T-Ball, Little
League, Girl’s Softball, and Upwards Basketball. He influenced many
young lives in his years of coaching. He loved his family, adored his
daughters, and was devoted to caring for his mother and father. Jeff was
extremely kind-hearted and found the good in everyone he met.

Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vernon and
Juanita Winton; and his paternal grandparents, Dora and Mance Simmons.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was also survived by his daughters,
Leslie Simmons and Emily (Eddie) Skinner; an uncle, Waymon Simmons;
“Aunt” Carolyn Hollingsworth; niece, Jessica Metcalf; nephew, Jason
Metcalf; several cousins; and too many friends to count.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a memorial
fund set up at Forest Mill Church of Christ, 3388 McMinnville Highway,
Manchester, TN 37355.

12/22/17 — Lois Marion McIntyre Snider

LOIS MARION MCINTYRE SNIDER, age 90, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Tullahoma, Tenn. following an extended illness. Ms. Snider was born in Fairchance, Pennsylvania to the late William S. McIntyre and Florence Fast McIntyre on February 23, 1927. Ms. Snider was a member of the Estill Springs First Baptist Church. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Her rank was Captain when she was last discharged after serving as a nurse in Europe and the United States. In addition to her military nursing, she taught nursing at the University of Pittsburg beginning in 1948 and then Arkansas State University where she retired in 1992. She was also a member of the DAR for many years. Ms. Lois lived a full life and will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Snider was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey James Snider, formerly of Jonesboro, Arkansas, sister-in-law, Mary Ann McIntyre. She is survived by her son, Bill Snider and wife, Sheri of Estill Springs, Grandchildren; Chris Snider of Nashville and Allie Snider of Estill Springs, sister, Marcia Cole of Houston, Texas, brother, William Sanford McIntyre, Jr., Hopwood, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ms. Snider will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Friday evening, December 22, 2017, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with services to follow at 6:00 P.M. with Bro. Jim Patton, officiating.

Visitation will also be held from 10:00 A.M. -12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 27, at Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas with a Graveside service to follow at 1:00 P.M. Ms. Snider will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband of 46 years in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas with military honors bestowed.

12/22/17 — Ella Kathryn Dorak

Funeral services for Ella Kathryn Dorak, infant daughter of Jake and
Katie Mullins Dorak, will be conducted on Friday, December 22, 2017 at
2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Manchester, TN.
A private family burial will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Ella
Kate went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2017.
In addition to her parents, survivors are her brother, Luke Dorak;
grandparents, Rick and Rhonda Mullins; uncle, Michael Dorak (Natalie);
aunts, Marie Dorak and Hannah Mullins; cousins, Carla, Michael and Ryan
Dorak.

A fund has been established at First Baptist Church in Manchester, 1006
Hillsboro Blvd., Manchester, TN 37355, to give in honor of Ella Kate. You
may give by designating your gift to the Ella Kate Fund. All gifts will
be divided between the building fund at Oakley Ministry Center and FBC
Music Ministry.

12/23/17 — Dylan Andrew West

Funeral services for Dylan Andrew West, age 26 of Manchester, will be held
on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at 2 PM at the Central Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will follow in rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the
family will begin at 12 Noon until time of service at the funeral home.
Dylan passed away on Friday, December 15th.

Dylan was born on August 27, 1991, to Kristy Lusk West in Tullahoma, TN. He
was a 2009 graduate from Coffee County High School. He loved watching UT
football, hanging out with his friends, and taking care of “Ollie” with his
girlfriend, Hayley Clark.

Dylan is survived by his parents, Kristy Lusk West (Kevin Keele) of
Fayetteville, and John (Amy) West of Alaska; brothers, John David West,
Hunter Keele, both of Fayetteville, Cody Keele of Murfreesboro, and Micah
Keele of Wartrace; sisters, Jessica West and Kassidy (Lane) Jernigan, both
of Manchester, and Amber Keele of Fayetteville; grandparents, Benny and
Nancy Lusk of Manchester; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of
friends.

12/21/17 — Angie Smoot

Angie Smoot, age 75, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at her home in
Manchester. Angie’s family and loved ones were by her side when her recent
struggles in this life ended, and she went to be with her Lord.

Angie was born on March 20, 1942 in rural Rutherford County, TN to Fred and
Lola Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Fred
Jr., Allen (Peggy), and Clark (Sue). She is survived by her husband of 55
years, JC Smoot, son Michael (Debbie) and son CJ (Wendy). Angie is also
survived by sisters Charlotte Lewis Austin (Steve) and Dorothy Lewis Carmen
(Jack). In addition Angie leaves behind three grandchildren, Amanda Smoot
Can Pelt (Casey), Stephen Smoot (Chelsea), and Jared Smoot along with four
beautiful granddaughters, and numerous friends including Joyce Lynn with
whom Angie shared a 40+ year friendship.

Angie was an avid gardener whose specialty was roses. She loved her roses
and so enjoyed spending time in her garden nurturing them. Anyone who
happened to ride by Angie’s and JC’s home during spring or summer were
treated to a riotous display of beautifully colored roses.

In addition to Angie’s gift for growing beautiful roses, she was an
amazingly talented seamstress. She excelled in alterations and was well
known for her magic touch with wedding gowns. Over the years, she did
everything from hemming to a complete re-work so brides could be beautiful
on their special day.

Angie Smoot was a long-time member of Main Street Church of Christ in
Manchester.

Central Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Rose
Hill Memorial Gardens with Brother Alan Adams officiating. Services will be
held at 10 AM Thursday, December 21 at the funeral home. Visitation will be
Wednesday, December 20th from 5 – 8 PM at the funeral home.

12/21/17 — Doris Ann Rynd

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Ann Rynd, age 81 of Manchester, will be
held on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at 12 Noon at the Central Funeral Home
chapel. Burial will follow in the New Reddens Cemetery. Visitation with the
Rynd family will begin at 10 AM until time of service on Thursday. Mrs.
Rynd passed away on Monday, December 18th at McArthur Manor in Manchester.

Doris was born on January 7, 1936, to the late Edgar Folk and Willie Vera
White Oakley in Old Hickory, TN. She was a registered nurse who tirelessly
dedicated her talents to caring for patients in their homes. She was a
member of the First United Methodist Church in Manchester. She loved
hunting, camping, reading spiritually motivating books and singing in the
church choir. She was also a member of the AEDC Women’s Club.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 52
years, Joseph Patrick Rynd. She is survived by her son, John Carey Rynd
(Nicole Eggleston) of Manchester, and daughter, Kathy Rynd (Scott) Harrison
of Franklin; five grandchildren, Courtney, Christopher, and Olivia Rynd,
and Rachel and Emma Harrison; and cousins, Emmett Morgan, Lori Zinner, and
Jason Morgan.

John and Kathy would like to thank the caring McArthur Manor family for
their love and attention that they have given to their mother for the last
seven years.

12/21/17 — Sarah L. Hazelwood

Sarah L Hazelwood of Wartrace passed this life on Sunday, December 17, 2017
at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro at the age of 54 years.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 12 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Willow Mount
Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday,
December 20, 2017 from 5 – 8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hazelwood, a native of New Hampshire, was the daughter of the late
Lenord and Roberta Drew Labraney. She enjoyed crocheting, playing games on
her phone and playing with her Chihuahua, Angel.

She is survived by two daughters, Tonya Emery of Wartrace and Heather Mears
and her husband, Henry of Moulton, AL; son, Scott Philbrick of New
Hampshire; step-son, Steven Moore of Shelbyville; one brother, J R Labraney
of Lewisburg and four grandchildren, Gabby, Ash and J D Labraney and Haylee
Emery.

12/20/17 — Cosmo Horace Roberts

Funeral services for Mr. Cosmo Horace Roberts, age 88 of Manchester, will
be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 2 PM in the Central Funeral Home
chapel. Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery. Visitation with the
Roberts family will be Wednesday, December 20th from 5-9 PM at the funeral
home. Mr. Roberts passed away on Sunday, December 17th at his home.

Cosmo Horace Roberts was born on August 25, 1929, to the late Thomas and
Minnie Pope Roberts in Manchester, TN. He served his country in the United
States Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from Cleveland
Pneumatics as a maintenance engineer. He was a member of the Rutledge Falls
Baptist Church and loved watching wrestling on TV.

In addition to his parents, Cosmo is preceded in death by his wife of 62
years, Maymie Ruth Miller Roberts; one daughter, Glinda Schmidt; two
brothers, Elmo Forrest and Thomas Roberts; and one sister, Willie C.
Jernigan. He is survived by his son, Clifford Roberts and daughter, Deborah
Kirk, both of Manchester; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Kacy) Kirk, Briana
Roberts, Chelsye Tarpley, and Angela (Tanner) Wendorf; and great
grandchildren, Thaliyah Huddleston and Melody Tarpley.

12/20/17-Randy Dewayne Carter

Mr. Randy Dewayne Carter, age 59, of Manchester, TN passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at his residence. Randy was a manager at a finance company, he loved football, basketball, and to travel. He loved his dogs and his family very much; especially his sisters and mother.

Randy is survived by his parents Marshall Carter, Sr. and Jewel St. John; three brothers, Ricky, Derrick, and Marshall, Jr.; and three sisters, Connie, Regina, and Rhonda.

12/20/17–Wanda Fox Barker

Graveside services for Mrs. Wanda Fox Barker, age 84, of Manchester, TN will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Barker passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, December 17, 2017.
Wanda was born in Cumberland Co., TN, the daughter of the late Nathan and Lola Loftis. She was a homemaker and worked for Main Street Church of Christ, and loved to cook and crochet.
Wanda is survived by her two children, John (JoAnn) Barker and Kathy Seals; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
