2/15/18 — Josephine “Jo” Frances Ferguson
Funeral Services for Mrs. Josephine “Jo” Frances Ferguson, age 92 of Madison, will be conducted on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 1 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother T.J Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 11AM until service time. Mrs. Ferguson passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Maybelle Carter Assisted Living.
Mrs. Ferguson was born on September 21, 1925 to the late Edmond and Levie Anthony. She was a member of Trinity Lane United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and loved flowers.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ferguson is preceded in death by her husband, EC Ferguson; one brother, Buford Anthony; four sisters, Mable Duncan, Estelle Searcy, Ruby McKennon, and Jewel Tarter. Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her daughter, Drena (James) Melvin; three grandchildren; Lindsay McReynolds, Eric (Mary) Pride, and Seth Pride; three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

2/14/18 — Roy C. Crouch, Sr.
Roy C Crouch Sr, of Tullahoma, passed this life after a short illness, on
Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Life Care Center of Tullahoma at the age of
81 years. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, at 1
PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial at Gum Creek Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 5-8 PM.
Mr. Crouch, a native of Huntsville, AL, was the son of the late Luther and
Jeanettie Whitworth Crouch. He attended Roberts’ Chapel Church and
enjoyed
fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was also known as
the “best small engine mechanic”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Mary Kay
Crouch; brother, Lee Crouch and sisters, Frances Crouch, Annie Prince,
Margie Lipscomb and Bernice Hegwood.
Mr. Crouch is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Janie Johnson Crouch
of Tullahoma; son, Roy L Crouch and his wife, Kimberly of Tullahoma;
daughter, Jenny England and her husband, John of Huntland; grandchildren,
Bart England and his wife, Amanda of Huntland, Brooke Hamilton and her
husband, Cory of Tullahoma, Cassidy Crouch of Tullahoma and Logan Crouch of
Tullahoma.

2/17/18 — Eunice Irene Vickers
Eunice Irene Vickers, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, February 9,
2018 at her residence at the age of 90 years. Memorial Services are
scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson
Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors beginning at 12 PM.
Mrs. Vickers, a native of Middlesboro, KY, was the daughter of the late
James and Laura McCart Hendrickson. She was a member of the First United
Methodist Church of Tullahoma and was the human resources manager for
Jacobs at AEDC. She enjoyed going to the beach, shopping and doing water
aerobics.
She is survived by two daughters, Paula King of Tullahoma and Vicki Vickers
Sovia and her husband, Glenn of Coopertown, TN; sister, Veda Jones of Baton
Rouge; two grandchildren, Matthew Demumbra and his wife, Sofia of San Diego
and Jon Paul Nobles and his wife, Natalie of San Diego; six great
grandchildren and granddog, Abbey, the Lhasa Apso.

2/9/18/–Martha Jeanne Anderson
Martha Jeanne Anderson, of Tullahoma, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018,
at the age of 80 years. Memorial Services are scheduled for Friday,
February 9, 2018 at 11 AM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. The family
will receive visitors beginning at 10 AM on Friday.
Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of the late Guy and Margie Layman Stanley.
She
was a realtor and worked for Peggy Ward Realty and Lewis and Orr Realty.
She
enjoyed bird watching, flower gardening and reading biographies.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Charles Anderson of Tullahoma;
two daughters, Leigh Butler and her husband, Robert of Colorado Springs, CO
and Jill Sculerati of Dongguan, China; son-in-law, Jamie Sculerati of
Tampa; brother, Marc Stanley of Annapolis, MD and two grandchildren, Sam
and Sophia Sculerati, both of Tampa.

2/10/18–Forrest Collins Roan, Jr.
A celebration of life for Mr. Forrest Collins Roan, Jr., age 81 of
Hillsboro, will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 12 Noon at
Central Funeral Home with Brother Chris Haynes officiating. Visitation with
the family will begin at 10 AM until time of service Saturday. Mr. Roan
passed away at his home after an extended illness.
Mr. Roan was born on December 28, 1936, to the late Forrest Collins Roan
Sr. and Louise Guffin Roan in Atlanta, GA. He served his country in the
United States Navy. After, he received his under-graduate and master’s
degrees from Auburn University, becoming an electrical engineer for AEDC-
Sverdrup where he retired. He attended the Hillsboro First United Methodist
Church.
After his retirement, Collins became an avid and proficient woodworker, and
an active member of the Tennessee Valley Woodworking Club. He was also a
collector of tools, a bee keeper, wine maker, gardener and builder. He
enjoyed fellowship with family and friends, visiting new places and
sampling the food and flavors of each destination. Collins was always ready
to try something new.
In addition to his parents, Collins is preceded in death by his brother,
Stephen Roan. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Julia Vinson
Roan; son, Stephen, and wife Esra, Roan of Memphis; daughters, Beverly,
husband Dale, Allen of Athens, AL, and Brenda, and husband Donnie, Lovelady
of Manchester; grandchildren, Chelsea Bean, Alexander Brock, Benjamin and
Emre Roan; great grandchildren, Cassidy Murch and Emelia Bean; and
brother-in-law, Bennie Vinson.

2/9/18–Mary Jo Peters
On February 5th, 2018, Mary Jo Peters, age 85, of Normandy, died peacefully after an extended illness with Parkinson’s. Mary Jo was a bookkeeper at Trader’s National Bank in Tullahoma and was a life-long member of the Normandy Presbyterian Church. For many years, she wrote the “Normandy News” for the Tullahoma News and the Shelbyville Times Gazette. She was an active community member, involved with the Normandy PTA, Haley Social Club, church activities, boy and girl scouts and reading to school children. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lucille Gambill West; her husband, Fred Peters; and daughter, Jennifer Burk. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Ray Sadler; son and daughter-in-law, Jake and Gwen Peters; daughter, Lorie Fisher; and two sisters, Gloria Troxler and Marjorie Stewart. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Lucas Burk, Payne and Delaney Fisher, Fred Peters, Eric Chelsea, Garrin, Dylan and Ocean Sadler; and one great-grandchild, Calla Sadler. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Friday, February 9th, 2018 at Normandy Presbyterian Church with the service to immediately follow at 2:00pm with Dr. Michael Bradley and Rev. Jane Herring officiating. Interment will follow at New Reddens Cemetery. 2/8/18 — Floyd James Green
Funeral services for Mr. Floyd James Green, age 87, of Manchester, TN
will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Noah
Church of Christ with Bro. Tommy Underwood, Sr. officiating. Burial will
follow in Farrar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from
11:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Mr. Green passed away
on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at his residence.
Floyd was born in Coffee Co., TN, the son of the late Sanford and Pearl
Green. He began farming when he was in the third grade and continued to
farm the rest of his life. Floyd was a member of Noah Church of Christ.
He loved hunting and fishing, sitting on the porch watching birds and
squirrels go by, and taking trips to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. His
favorite past time however was spending time with his family, and
especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a loving
husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
In addition to his parents, Floyd is also preceded in death by one
brother, Junior Green; two sisters, Juanita Seal and Vanita Moss; one
sister-in-law, Rachel Green. He is survived by his loving wife of 69
years, Janie Green; four sons, James (Brenda) Green, Kenny Green, Tim
(Carol) Green, and Phil (Michelle) Green; three daughters, Debbie (Dale)
Farless, Angie (Shannon) Banks, and Barbie Gaona; two brothers, Elmer
(Lottie) Green and Fred Green; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren;
and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Mable Eva Rutledge, of Petersburg, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018, at
Lynchburg Nursing Center at the age of 95 years. Funeral Services are
scheduled for Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson
Funeral Home with burial to follow at Foster Cemetery in Petersburg. The
family will receive visitors starting at 10 AM on Thursday.
Mrs. Rutledge, a native of Coffee County, was the daughter of the late
William and Ethel Hagar Farrar. She worked at Petersburg Manufacturing for
many years and also sat with the elderly. She was a member of the Life
Church of Fayetteville. Mrs. Rutledge loved music and enjoyed playing her
guitar and singing. She enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing, quilting,
crocheting and working puzzles. She also loved working in her garden and
raising flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Wallace Bud Rutledge; son, Ronnie Rutledge; brothers, Henry, Cecil, Buster
and Walter Farrar and sisters, Ruth Goosby, Marie Rutledge, Amy Froelich
and Ester Toms.
Mrs. Rutledge is survived by one daughter, Peggy Dunivan and her husband,
James “Buddy” of Petersburg; six grandchildren, thirteen great
grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and two great great
grandchildren on the way.

Myra L Hurst, of Manchester, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, at her

Mrs. Hurst, a native of Henry County, was the daughter of the late Atlas
and Lottierene Carter Lindsey. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing,
knitting and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl
H Hurst; brothers, Atlas Lindsey Jr and Jim Lindsey and sisters, Margaret
Harris, Jeanette Williams, Jane Donnelly and Judy Gammons.
Mrs. Hurst is survived by two daughters, Deborah Hurst of Columbia and
Karen Hurst of Manchester; brothers, Bobby Joe Lindsey of Bell Buckle,
David Lindsey of Henry County and Roy Lindsey of Gallatin; sisters, Betty
Conger of Paris, TN and Janice Clapper of Springfield, TN; grandson,
Cameron Mayes and his fiancé, Shelby Thacker and two great grandchildren,

2/9/18– Max Sherman Gabbard
Funeral Services for Mr. Max Sherman Gabbard, age 69 of Manchester, TN, will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, TN with full military honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Gabbard passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Gabbard was born on June 28, 1948 to the late, Sherman and Ruth Gabbard. He was an United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gabbard is preceded in death by one daughter, Carrie Whinery; two brothers, Floyd and Fred Gabbard; three sisters, Mary Brown, Wanda Wilson, and Berniece Gongre. Mr. Gabbard is survived by his loving wife, Lila Garbbard; two sons, Max Sherman Jr., and Derrick Schultz; two daughters, Geneva Moore and Tara Anderson-Huberty; one brother, Wilford Gabbard; twelve grandsons and numerous great grandchildren.
