6/6/18–Earlene Francis Johnson
Earlene Francis Johnson of Estill Springs passed this life on Friday,
June 1st 2018 at the age of 77 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Riverside, CA to the late Earl and Evelyn Smith
Beard. During her life, Mrs. Johnson worked for 20 years as an art
teacher in the Jackson City School System, as well as a commercial artist
for the JT Baker Company, and also served as a graphic artist for First
Baptist Church of Tullahoma, where she was a member. She was also a
former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson, TN, as well as The
Red Hat Society. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson is preceded in
death by her first husband, Duane Sargent, and her second husband,
Winfred Johnson. She is survived by two sons, JD Sargent Jr. and his wife
Julie of Cedar City, UT, and Jason Sargent and his wife Wanda of
Dyersburg, TN; two step-sons, Vernon Johnson and his wife Cindy of
Phoenix, AZ, and Gary Johnson and his wife Jennifer of Estill Springs;
one step-daughter, Sharon Guillory and her husband Jeremy of Yuba City,
CA; one sister, Joy Eshleman and her husband John of Worden, MT; one
brother, David Beard and his wife Helen of Berthoud, CO; 11
grandchildren, Amber, Amanda, and Alondra Johnson, Machelle VanReenen and
her husband Adam, Kristin Hunzicker and her husband David, Brandon
Johnson, Shelby, Claudia, and Jeremy Guillory, and Shelby and Rebekah
Sargent; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be
held on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 from 5:00-8:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home.
Funeral services will take place Wednesday, June 6th at 2:00pm at First
Baptist Church of Tullahoma with Bros. Gary Johnson and Andy Stallings
officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Garden. For those
who wish, the family asks that donations in Fran’s memory be made to

6/5/18–William T. “Buddy” Grosch
Mr. William T. “Buddy” Grosch, 84, passed away Sunday June
3,
2018 at his daughters home in Hillsboro, Tennessee. He was born in
Manchester, Tennessee on February 4, 1934 and was a life long resident of
Coffee County. He was preceded in death by his parents, George F. Grosch
and Novella Mahaffa Grosch; wife, Thelma Dean Clayborn Grosch; grandson,
Daniel Clay Gilliam; brothers,Geroge Jr., Charles and Robert Grosch;
sisters, Frances Smith, Ruby Eley and Helen Ogle.
He is survived by his daughters, Delores Ann (James) Goin, Manchester,
Donna K. Grosch (Randy), Decatur, TN Debbie Sue (Scotty) Hamby, Hillsboro
and Delana Lynn (Maxie) Butler, Hillsboro; sisters, Fay Ortner and Betty
McIntosh, Thelma Henley and Sherry Dain; grandchildren, Carlton and Brianna
Hamby, Jessie and William Butler, Ray and Jennifer Goin; several great
grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Wesley Chapel

6/9/18 — Craigie Lea Kilts
Craigie Lea Kilts, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, June 3, 2018
at NHC of Tullahoma at the age of 94 years. Graveside Services are
scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Rose Hill Memorial
Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday June 9, 2018 from 10-11 AM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
A native of Collinsville, IL, she was the daughter of the late George and
Ruth Rankin Powell. She was a member of the Tullahoma Chapter of the
Daughters of the American Revolution and was on the Board of Directors of
Lannom Memorial Library. She was also recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow
by Rotary.
Mrs. Kilts was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Kilts. She is
survived by two sons, Ralph “Mike” Kilts Jr and his wife, Deborah of
Bradyville and Robert Kilts of Cleveland, GA; daughter, Karen Leavesley of
Tallahassee, FL; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and three
great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in her honor
to Lannom Memorial Library, 312 N Collins Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388

6/6/18 — Ricky Allen Greene
RICKY ALLEN GREENE, age 60, of Cowan, Tenn., formerly of Tullahoma, departed this life Saturday, June 2, 2018 at STRHS in Winchester. Mr. Greene was born in Tullahoma, Tenn., to the late Arthur Leighton Greene and Mary Alice Simmons Greene on February 14, 1958. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Greene was last employed for several years at Deutsch before becoming disabled. Mr. Greene loved riding motorcycles. He was a “shade tree” mechanic and enjoyed “tinkering” with automobiles. He will be greatly missed by his family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Greene was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela. He is survived by his sister, Stacy Watson of Maryville, Tenn., brothers; David Greene and Mark Greene and wife, Melena all of Shelbyville, Tenn. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Greene will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Services to follow at 3:00.
Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Tullahoma where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved Pamela.

6/5/18 — Joseph Stout
Funeral services for Mr. Joseph “Joe” R. Stout, age 65, of Manchester, TN will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Dr. Brenton Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Stout passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018, at his residence in Manchester, TN.
Joe was born in Muncie, IN to the late Richard and Marjory Stout. He was a math data aid for AEDC. Joe loved all sports, but especially Atlanta Braves baseball. He loved reading, and he had a great ear for all music.
Joe is survived by his brother, Stephen E. (Janie) Stout; two sisters, Katherine Ann (Joseph) Helms and Karen Sue Wright; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

6/4/18 — Karen L. Keith
Karen L Keith, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at
St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville at the age of 65 years. Funeral
Services are scheduled for Monday, June 4, 2018 at 12 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 3, 2018 from 6 – 9 PM.
A native of Mobile, AL she was the daughter of the late Charles and Jean
Smith Keith. Karen graduated from Tullahoma High School and had worked as
the Senior Administrative Assistant for the City of Tullahoma Public Works
Department. She was a member of Wesley Heights United Methodist Church.
She
was an avid University of Alabama fan and enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren and working in her yard. Karen was a special lady and was
well liked by all who knew her. She had an infectious smile and loved to
kid with people.
Karen is survived by two sons, Allan Kimbro and his wife, Emily of
Winchester and Nick Kimbro and his wife, Stephanie of Tullahoma; three
grandchildren, Marley, Stella and Charles Kimbro; two sisters and multiple
nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Jean L. “Mema” Elrod, 97, passed away, Thursday May
31,
2018. She was native of Coffee County, retired from the Pajama Corporation
and was a long time member of the Red Hill Church of Christ.
She was an avid seamstress, great cook and doating grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arch Y. Lowery and Ruby V. Harmon
Lowery; husband, William R. Elrod; daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Art
Harrell; grandson, William Tyrone Elrod Jr.; son-in-law, John Kendall
Haley; brother, Gadis Lowery.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Debbie) Elrod and William Tyrone
(Carolyn) Elrod Sr.; daughters, Pat Haley and Judy E. (Dick) Lineberger;
brothers, Jack Lowery and Billy Joe (Jo Ellen) Lowery; sisters, Joy
Patterson, Sandra Lockwood and Winn Heath; 13 grandchildren; 22 great
grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; numerous other loving relatives
and friends.

6/2/18 — Charles Richard Brandon
Mr. Charles Richard Brandon, 89, passed away, Thursday May
31,
2018 at McArthur Manor in Manchester. He was born in Gary, Indiana on Jan
24, 1929 to R.E. Brandon and Ora Rigney Brandon who preceded him in
death. He
was also preceded by his wife, Dean Gaultney; brother Bob Brandon and his
sisters, Janice and Joyce.
He was a member of the New Union Church of Christ and was a US Army veteran
of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his sons, Chuck (Paula) Brandon of Newport, Kentucky and
Jeff (Julie) Brandon of Bolder Hill, IL; brother, James Brandon; 5
grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday in the Central Funeral Home
chapel with Minister Charles Williams officiating with burial to follow in

Joe S. Tate 86, of Winchester passed Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Southern TN Medical Center. Visitation with Family Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Friendship Tabernacle with Memorial Services to follow at 1:00 pm at Friendship Tabernacle. Per his request he will be cremated.
He is survived by his ten children, Shirley (Thurman) Wilkerson of Shelbyville, TN, Betty (Kenneth) Stewart of Pontiac, Michigan, Terry (Deloris) Tate of Nashville, TN, Joe Lynn (Mary) Tate of Nashville, Tennessee, Emma Tate of Winchester, Tennessee, Celestine Tate and John Tate both of Washington, D.C., Timothy Tate of Atlanta, Georgia, Phillip (Selena) Tate of Nashville, Tennessee and Ora (Antonio) Cartwright of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Jeanette Johnson of Huntland,Tennessee; 24 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren , nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

6/4/18 — Victor Thomas Shahan, Sr.
VICTOR THOMAS SHAHAN, SR., age 84, of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Life Care Center of Tullahoma, following an extended illness. Mr. Shahan was born in Winchester, Tenn., on Nov. 7, 1933, to the late Earl Munford Shahan and Annie Davis Shahan. He attended Tullahoma schools and went on to graduate from the University of Notre Dame and the Carnegie Institute of Technology. Then he served in the United States Air Force. During his lifetime he worked and retired from IBM in Fishkill, New York. He was an active 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Wappingers Falls, New York and at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Tullahoma. Mr. Shahan enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader for many years, as well as, gardening and boating. He was devoted to his grandchildren and large extended family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shahan was preceded in death by his brothers; Earl, Louis and James Shahan, sisters; Martha Anderson and Miriam Shahan. He is survived by his wife, Carol Shahan of Tullahoma, sons; Dr. Patrick Shahan and wife Rena of Monument, Colorado, Victor Thomas Shahan, Jr. of Tullahoma, daughters; Marjorie Ann Bowen of Old Orchard Beach, Maine and Teresa Ellen Milliken and husband Andrew of Wappingers Falls, New York. 7 Grandchildren; Dr. Brian Shahan, Dr. Andrew Shahan, Katherine Shahan, Matthew Bowen, McKenzie Bowen, Lindsay Milliken, Alexander Milliken, sister, Sarah Ann Marshall and husband Bill of Huntsville, Alabama, several nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Shahan will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 4, 2018 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Tullahoma with visitation to be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00, with Father Steven Klasic officiating. Interment will follow in the Winchester Memorial Park with Military honors bestowed.
