11/3/18 — Alice Mae Hale
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Mae Hale, age 93, of Manchester will conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Dwight Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 2, 2018, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Mrs. Hale passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at her residence.
Alice was born in White County, TN to the late William and Nota West. She was a member of the Church of God. Alice was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, studying her Bible, and teaching Sunday school.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Hale; two daughters, Marilyn Waneita and Meriel Wanda; one brother, Bryce West; one nephew, Robert W. Hale. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Annette Graham (Charlie); one son, Walter Arlin Hale (Barbara), one brother, Gene West (Idell), two grandchildren, Jared Hale (Jennifer) and Bethany Hale; two great grandchildren, Matthew Hale and Logan Hale.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in memory of Alice to: Hospice of the Highland Rim Foundation, 110 E. Lauderdale Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388.

11/2/18–Mary Sue Miller
Miller, Mary Sue,of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, October
29th, 2018 at her home at the age of 80. Mary Sue was born in Shelbyville
to the late Carl and Virgie Lee Fuller Aulabaugh. She was a long-time
member of Trinity Baptist Church in Manchester and will be remembered for
her sweet and loving personality. Mary Sue loved bowling and was very
involved in several different leagues for much of her life. She also
loved music and dancing at different senior citizen centers in the area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Willie Corvin; her son, Billy Corvin; three brothers, Charles, Gilbert
and George Aulabaugh; and two sisters, Lou Haston and Polly Cox. She is
survived by her daughter, Andrea Landrum and her husband Mark of
Tullahoma; four grandchildren, Adam Corvin and his wife Trish of Conyers,
Georgia, Josh Corvin and his wife Jennifer of Atoka, TN, Grey Landrum of
Tullahoma and Lindsey Landrum of Tullahoma; three great-grandchildren,
Erica Corvin, Shelby Corvin and Landin Corvin; and numerous nieces and
nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1st, 2018 at
Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on
Friday, November 2nd, 2018 at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family asks that in
lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the Together We Grow Fund at
Trinity Baptist Church, 1513 McArthur Street, Manchester, TN 37355 or the
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering via the International Mission Board, P.O.

11/2/18 — Marlene Joan Spears
Funeral services for Mrs. Marlene Joan Spears, age 84, of Manchester will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 2, 2018, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Holland Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Mrs. Spears entered into rest on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Marlene was born in Central Lake, Michigan to the late William and Genevieve McGuire. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. Marlene loved reading, supporting missionaries, and was an amazing cook. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandma.
Marlene is preceded in death by her parents, William and Genevieve McGuire. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Sam “Les” Spears; one son, Erroll “Britt” (Janet) Spears; one daughter, Susan (Rockey) Hamilton; three sisters, Nancy Melvin, Lois Godfrey, and Merla Haskin; five grandchildren, Nathan Spears, Heather (Adam) Carter, Jeremiah Hamilton, Rebecca Spears, and Lauren (Christopher) Burns; and nine great-grandchildren, Sam Burns, Will Burns, Betsy Burns, Kaylyn Hamilton, Aleyah Hamilton, Kinley Hamilton, Gabriel Carter, Malachi Carter, and Avonlea Carter.

11/3/18 — Irma Crowell Massey
On October 27, 2018 Irma Crowell Massey, age 90, of Murfreesboro, TN formally of Beechgrove, TN entered into rest at St Thomas Rutherford.
Irma was a 1945 graduate of Manchester Central High School and Middle Tennessee State college of 1949. She was a teacher in the Tullahoma and Manchester City school system before she retired after 32 years. After retirement she spent 19 years as a teaching leader with Bible Study Fellowship International in the Murfreesboro Women’s Day Class. She was an active member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church serving as a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, elder, session clerk and pianist during her 80-year membership at the Beech Grove and Mt. Tabor Cumberland Presbyterian churches. In 2015 she moved into Adam’s Place Assisted Living in Murfreesboro.
Irma was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Herman “Kat” Massey; beloved granddaughter, Mary Grace Hodsdon; parents, Oscar and Nora Crowell; brother, Burrell H. Crowell and sister, Vivian C. Farrar.
She is survived by son, Maxey H. (Deanna) Massey of Lebanon; daughter, Mary Edith (John) Hodsdon of Brentwood; grandchildren, Hillary (Josh) Savley, Adam (Morgan) Massey, Nora Hodsdon; great grandchildren Addie, Noah and Jenna Savley, Samuel and Farrah Massey, Carter Hodsdon; seven Crowell offsprings; a host of Masseys and special cousin, Morty (Joyce) Lloyd of Chattanooga.
The family will receive friends from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Mt. Tabor Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 6000 Manchester Pike, Murfeesboro, TN. A celebration of life will be held immediately following at the Mt. Tabor Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

10/30/18 — Horace Elvin Trail
Funeral services for Mr. Horace Elvin Trail, age 73, of Manchester, TN
will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at
Manchester Funeral Home with Brother David Wall officiating. Burial Will
follow at Forest Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00
P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Manchester Funeral
Home. Mr. Trail passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Unity Medical
Center.
Horace was born in Coffee County, TN to the late Ardith and Mary Aliene
Trail. He was employed through carrier for 36 years before retiring.
Horace enjoyed shooting guns, being outdoors, and most of all being with
his family.
In addition to his parents, Horace is also preceded in death by three
brothers; Roy Trail, Marion Trail, and Ardith Trail, Jr. He is survived
by his loving wife of 55 years, Faye Trail; two sons, Doug Trail (Kim) of
Manchester and Greg Trail (Mary Helen) of Beechgrove; one sister Voelia
“Bo” Bell of Tullahoma; six grandchildren, Matthew Trail, Jonathan Trail,
Wyatt Trail, Courtney Trail, Shannon Wilson, and Kyle Byrom; and four
great grandchildren.

Ruby Juanita Henegar, 82, of the Shady Grove Community died Saturday, October 27, 2018 following an extended illness. A native of Coffee County, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lola Mae Johnson. She was a homemaker and retired after several years as a seamstress at Eden Industries. A member of East Main Street Church of Christ, she loved the outdoors, gardening, cooking, quilting, watching UT sports, especially the Lady Vols, and above all, spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Herman on December 26, 2000, son Charles Herman, and granddaughter Amelia Grace. She is survived by her son James Richard and daughter-in-law Trisha L. of Shelbyville, TN and a host of other relatives and friends. One of eleven children, her brothers and sisters were all native Tennesseans. They are Thomas Fred Johnson (deceased), Sarah Agnes Miller, Louis Johnson, Ellen Keith, Herman Johnson, Leonard Johnson (deceased), Clayton Johnson (deceased), Luree McMahan (deceased), Levon Johnson, and Jerry Johnson.

10/28/18 — James Wendell Jarvis
Jarvis, James Wendell, age 83, of Hillsboro, passed this life on
Thursday, October 25th, 2018 at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.
Mr. Jarvis was born in Manchester to the late James C. and Lillie M.
Tucker Jarvis. James attended Coffee County schools and served in the
National Guard for several years. He was employed for 24 years with Dana
Corporation in Hamtramck, Michigan and then locally at Piggly Wiggly as a
young man and in later years at Walmart. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing
and sports. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his
son, James Richard Jarvis; and sister-in-law, Pat Jarvis. Mr. Jarvis is
survived by his wife, Marsha K. (Johnston) Jarvis; daughter, Tammy Leanne
Holt (Steve); two sons, Benjamin A. Jarvis (Coye) and Jesse M. Jarvis
(Kimberley); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers,
Edward Keith Jarvis and Owen Dale Jarvis and his wife Pat of Manchester;
and one sister, Charlotte Sue Jarvis of Estill Springs. Visitation will
be held on Sunday, October 28th, 2018 at Kilgore Funeral Home from
12:00-2:00pm with the funeral to immediately follow at 2:00pm with Keith
Nunley officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

10/28/18 — Peggy Ann Nobles Miller
Mrs. Peggy Ann Nobles Miller, 85, passed away
Wednesday October 24, 2018 at Horizon Health and Rehab. She was born in
Manchester, Tennessee on September 29, 1933 to Jesse Benton Nobles and Ruby
Exene Thaxton Nobles who preceded her in death along with her husband,
Hiram Alfred “Shorty” Miller; son, Aaron Eugene Miller; sister, Nellie
Jarrell; brothers, Benton, Roy and Frank Nobles; granddaughter, Anna Exene
Webb; son-in-law, Billy Edward Webb; daughter-in-law, Linda Gail Kimbro
Miller.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manchester and
also attended the church she grew up in, Mud Creek Methodist. She had
worked as a machine operator in local garments factories and help her
husband in real estate sales.
She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Exene Webb of Manchester and Jo Ann
(DirK) Simones, North Carolina; grandchildren, Larry Eugene Miller, Erin
Danielle Kehely and Quinton Drew (Rebecca) Simones; great-grandchildren,
James Edward “Jamey” Webb-Lowe and McKenna Gail Kehely; sister-in-law,
Jean
Nobles Freeze; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday in the Central Funeral Home Chapel
with Dr. Gary Nester and Chaplain Tim Keller officiating with burial to

10/27/18–Thelma Irene Wright
Thelma Irene Wright of Tullahoma, passed this life on Wednesday, October
24, 2018 at her residence at the age of 89 years. Graveside Services are
scheduled on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11 AM at Winchester Memorial
Park.
A native of Winchester, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Jimmie
Casteel. She enjoyed working puzzle books and watching game shows and the
“Golden Girls” on TV. She was loved to garden and enjoyed canning.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmus
Wright, daughters, Audrey Anderson and Martha Wright; brothers, Edward
Casteel and Harold “Buck” Casteel and sisters, Ruby Waller and Jewel
Ellis.
She is survived by daughters, Paula Lambrecht and Janice Sherrick, both of
Tullahoma; five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and 2 great
great grandchildren.

Lexie was born in Livingston, TN to the late Robert and Bertha Carr. She was a member of New Union Church of Christ. In her spare time Lexie loved quilting, cooking, and canning. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Lexie is also preceded in death by three brothers, R.H. Carr, J.T. Carr, and Marvin Walker; two sisters, Minda Cantrell and Myrtle Justice. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 70 years, Buford Floyd; three sons, Dale Floyd, Keith Floyd, and Dennis (Stella) Floyd; one daughter, Debbie (Coy) Brinkley; one brother, Millard Carr; one sister, Willie Shelton; seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
