12/1/18 — Marian Combs Brown

Brown, Marian Combs, 80, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday,
November 2nd, 2018 at her home surrounded by her husband and children.
Mrs. Brown was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee to the late Wesley and
Josephine Goode Combs. During her life she enjoyed playing on her high
school basketball team, hiking in the Smoky Mountains, cooking,
collecting cookbooks, playing table tennis with family and friends and
traveling in the U.S. and abroad.  She was fond of hosting family
and friends for social events and holidays and took pride in making her
homes beautiful and welcoming. Marian was a voracious reader, loved
puzzles of all kinds, relished in playing Mah Jongg at the senior center
and adored the friends she made there. But her lifelong passion was
dancing. She enjoyed square dance, ballroom styles, country and western
dance and line dancing. Her talent for writing earned her a scholarship
for journalism to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where during
their freshman year she met Marshall, her husband of 62 years. She both
attended and worked at Motlow State Community College, holding the
position of executive secretary to the Vice President for Business
Affairs before her retirement in 1995. Other departments in which she
worked there included nursing, career education, liberal arts and the
library. Marian was always fond of the student workers in her various
offices. She was a loving wife and mother and took delight in being a
grandmother. Over the course of her life she lived in Tennessee, New
Jersey and Michigan. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in
death by her brother, Wesley Ronald Combs. She is survived by her
husband, Marshall Derwood Brown of Tullahoma; four children, Melinda
Brown and her partner Lou of Nashville, Keith Derek Brown of Tullahoma,
Allison Beth Brown of Tullahoma and Kristin Lee Brown of Raleigh, North
Carolina; and five grandchildren, Parker, Spencer, Emily, Alejandra and
Madelyn. Visitation for Mrs. Brown will be held on Saturday, December
1st, 2018 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11:00am-1:00pm with a celebration
of life service to immediately follow at 1:00pm. For those who wish, in
lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to either
the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
73123-1718 or the Lupus Foundation of America, Mid-South Chapter, 4004
Hillsboro Pike, Suite 216-B, Nashville, Tennessee 37215.

11/27/18 — Thelma Jean Chisam

Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Jean Chisam, age 89, of Hillsboro, TN, will be conducted on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Foy Rigney and Brother Ralph Hart officiating. The family will receive guests at Coffee County Funeral Chapel on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Mrs. Chisam passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Manchester Healthcare.
Jean was born on September 3, 1929 in Coffee County to the late Cyrus and Hettie Allison. She was a member of Redhill Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and gardening. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great- grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mason Chisam; two brothers, Harley B. Allison and Roy Allison; one sister, Hazel Haggard. She is survived by two daughters, Dolores Morgan (Butch) and Brenda Shannon (Bobby); four grandchildren, Greg Morgan (Amy), Christy Moore (Bobby), Nathan Morgan (Misty), Andy Shannon (Erin); nine great grandchildren, Emily Townsend (Nathan), Bailey Morgan, Natalie Moore, Zachary Morgan, Abby Morgan, Kyleigh Morgan, Mason Moore, Zoey Shannon, and Redding Shannon; two great- great grandchildren, Eli Morgan and Emery Townsend.

11/27/18 — Elizabeth Clara Barlow

Graveside Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Clara Barlow, age 70, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Brother Dean Northcutt officiating. The Family will receive guest at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 12:00 P.M until 1:00 P.M. Mrs. Barlow passed away on November 23, 2018 at her residence.

Elizabeth was born in Long Island, NY the daughter of the late William and Josephine McNeil. She was a member of Covenant Fellowship Church. Elizabeth was a homemaker and enjoyed going to church and loved her animals.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John William Barlow. She is survived by four daughters, Michelle Love (Mark), Vonda Jennette (David), Shannon Lester, and Joy Turner (Jamie); one brother, Billy McNeil (Cindy); thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

11/28/18 — Linda Faye Barrett Harrell

Funeral services for Linda Faye Barrett Harrell, age 59, of Tullahoma, formerly of Murfreesboro, will be conducted Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 2:00 o’clock PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Maplewood Cemetery. Mrs. Harrell died Friday, November 23, 2018.
A native of Murfreesboro, Mrs. Harrell was the daughter of the late Edward Presley and Elsie Muriel Barrett. She was a resident assistant with Parkview Meadows in Murfreesboro for 14 years. Mrs. Harrell loved her children, grandchildren and her dog, Ruby. She enjoyed playing video games with her grandchildren and liked watching television, especially the food network.
Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Charles, Danny and Douglas Barrett.
Mrs. Harrell is survived by her son Joseph Harrell and wife Jeanette of Murfreesboro, her daughter, Gypsy Throneberry and husband, Shane of Tullahoma, her brother, Jerry Barrett of Big Lake, Alaska, her grandchildren, Cassandra Harrell, Devin Howse and wife Victoria, Seth Anthony Howse and Elijah Howse, her great-granddaughter, Sophia Howse, her boyfriend of 29 years, Richard Bracey, her long-time friend, Tony Howse and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra Jean Trail, age 77, of Antioch, TN will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday November 25, 2018, at Manchester Funeral Home with brother Mike Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Fredonia Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 12:00 P.M. until the service time. Mrs. Trail passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018, at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN.

Sandra was born in Manchester, TN the daughter of the late Thomas Preston and Robbie Gladys Daniel. She was a member of the Blanton’s Chapel Church. Sandra was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, and most of all spending time with her beloved family.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Preston and Robbie Gladys Parker. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Lyndel Trail; two daughters, Regina Perez (Adelmo) and Erica Trail (Larry Doochin); three sisters, Charlotte Aldridge (Richard), Sherry England (Ronald), Cynthia Stowe (Bill); eight grandchildren, Coty Paulsen (Amanda), Brittney Cavariani (Michael), Will Floyd (Samantha), Maegan Floyd (Tony Jasper), Christian Perez, Jeyson Perez, Emanuel Perez, Eliel Perez; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Ronnie Lyne Womack, age 68, of Manchester, TN will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Manchester Funeral Home with Brother ____Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Panes Cove Cemetery. The Family will receive guest at the funeral home on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 11:00 A.M until service time. Mr. Womack passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

Ronnie was born in Warren County, TN the son of the late Charles and Oma Lea Womack. He attended Church of God in Pelham, TN. Ronnie was a Tennessee football fan, he loved playing golf, working in the yard, and most of all spending time with his beloved family. Ronnie was a hard-working man, beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Dixie________. He is survived by his loving wife of _______years, Janet Womack; two daughters, Melissa Wetherington and Anna Reel (Bryan Pennington); one sister, Sharron Hillis (Eddy); three grandchildren; three sister-in- laws, Kathy Schiffner (Ken Mifsud), Anita Morris (Monroe), and Brenda Vaughn; several nieces and nephews and extended family.

11/24/18 — Darrence Carroll Lewis

Darrence Carroll Lewis, 95, passed away Tues., November 20, 2018 at Adams
Place. He was a native of Cannon Co., and made his home in Hazel Park,
Michigan.

He is survived by nieces, Jan (Gene) Price and Judy (Michael) James all
of MI.; great nephews, Joseph Price and Gary James; special cousins,
Linda (John) Sadler, Terry (Chassity) Burks and Angie (Kim) Young all of
Bradyville. Also surviving are numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen & Lula Spry Lewis and his
wife, Margaret (Lassiter) Lewis.

Mr. Lewis was a Veteran of WWII serving in the Army in the 738th Tank
Battalion where he was a Commander. He retired twice from Chrysler Corp
as a line leader and from the Engineering Dept. After retirement, he
enjoyed working with his hands repairing and selling lawn mowers.

Funeral services will be 1 pm, Saturday, November 24, 2018 in the Chapel
of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Entombment
with military honors will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Tullahoma,
Tn. Pallbearers include Russell and Terry Burks, John and Chris Sadler,
Kim Young and Jamie Spry. Visitation with the family will be from 9 am
until 1 pm Saturday, November 24, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to Gilley Hill Cemetery or Short Mtn. Bible Camp.

11/23/18–William Raymond Hargis

Mr. William Raymond Hargis, 90, passed away
Wednesday November 21 2018 at Southern Hills Hospital in Nashville. He was
born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee on February 10, 1928 to William Lee
Hargis and Thelma Troxler Hargis who preceded him in death along with his
wife, Doris Brown Hargis; great granddaughter, Randi LaShay Hargis.

Raymond was a US Army veteran. He was a 1946 graduate of Grundy County
High School and attended The Univeristy of Tennessee at Knoxville and
Chattanooga and Peabody College. He had served as principal at Palmer
School and taught at Grundy County High School. He served as Grundy County
Court Clerk for 10 years and Grundy County Superintendent of Schools for 13
years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah and her husband, Charles of
Manchester; son, Jody and his wife Dee Hargis of Monteagle; grandchildren,
Jared and his wife Shannon Hargis, Tallman Boyd, Harrison and his wife
Allyson Boyd; great grandson, Ethan Hargis; step-grandchildren, Victoria
and Kenji Kato.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with
Minister Willie Childers officiating with burial to follow in the Swiss

11/24/18 — Melva Dean Ramsey Little

Funeral services for Mrs. Melva Dean Ramsey Little, age, 85, of Manchester, TN will be conducted at 11:00 A.M on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Goodhope Cemetery in Livingston, TN. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 9:00 A.M until the service time.
Melva was born in Overton County, TN the daughter of the late Charles and Addieville Ramsey. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Manchester. Melva enjoyed quilting, cooking, loved music, and most of all spending time with her beloved family.
In addition to her parents, Melva is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Little; three brothers, Clifford Ramsey, Castle Ramsey, and Hollis Ramsey. She is survived by two sons, Robert Bruce Little (Kathy) and Gilbert Little (Lanai); four grandchildren, Justin Little (Allison), Travis Little (Heather), Kael Hyde (Justin), and Lauren Baker (Chris); three great grandchildren, Samantha Little, Wesley Little, and Addilyn Hyde.

Marie Elizabeth Day of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, November 20,
2018 at NHC of Tullahoma at the age of 70 years. No services are scheduled.

A native of Middletown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and
Beatrice Truex. She enjoyed drawing, painting and working puzzles. She
also enjoyed collecting David Winter cottages. She was an avid reader and
Stephen King was her favorite author.

She is survived by two sons, Karl Day and his fiancé Sandra Nunes of
Navarre, FL and Erik Day of Tullahoma and two grandchildren.
