3/21/19–Mack Truman Mayton

Beech Grove, Tennessee – Mr. Mack Truman Mayton, 73 passed away Thursday
February 28, 2019 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He was born
Manchester, Tennessee on May 22, 1945.

He was a retired construction worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mack and Frances Smithson Mayton,
and a sister Louise Mayton. He is survived by a son David Mayton (PA) and
daughters Mesa Mayton and Vicki Mayton of NY; brothers David Mayton and
John Mayton, sisters Brenda Gayle Mayton and Elaine Thomas all of
Manchester; mother of his children, Hilary Mayton. Mr. Mayton is also
survived my several grandchildren.

3/23/19 — Rafael “Ralph” Hernandez

Mr. Rafael “Ralph” Hernandez, 55, passed away
Sunday March 17, 2019 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He
was born in Durango, Mexico on January 2, 1964. He was preceded in death
by his mother Mercedes Gallegos Hernandez.

He was a employed at Kasai in Manchester and attended the Canvas Community
Church.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Arnold Hernandez; father, Angel
Hernandez Rodriguez, Tijuana, Mexico; son, Derek Hernandez, Manchester;
daughter, Jessica Hernandez, Manchester; step-daughters, Ashley Johnson,
Julie Spurlock and Bethany Patrick; sisters, Luz, Maria, Lourdes, Rosa and
Jela; brothers, Carlos, Francisco, Isidro and Apollinaris; grandchildren,
Ryan, Kayleigh, Scarlet, Daisy, Stella, Abram and Elijah; several nieces
and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday in the Central Funeral Home chapel
with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 4:00

3/22/19 — Naomi Wilder

Funeral services for Mrs. Naomi Wilder, age 88, of Hillsboro, TN, will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Viola, TN. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 21 at the funeral home. Mrs. Wilder passed away on Monday, March 18, at Manchester Healthcare.

Naomi was born in Smithville, TN, the daughter of the late Colonel and Leona Rackley Caldwell. In earlier years, she worked for Hawkersmith Nursery. Naomi was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Naomi was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, George Wilder; two sons, Donnie and Verlon Wilder; four brothers, Amond, Robert, Lester, and Clifton Caldwell; and two sisters, Nonnie McMahan and Hassie Biggs. She is survived by four sons, Stanley, Ronnie, Gary, and Jerry Wilder; four daughters, Virginia Gilreath, Kathy Stephens, Judy Weddington, and Marilyn Perry; one brother, Donald Caldwell; one sister, Morrell Gilreath; 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren; and 15 great, great grandchildren.

3/24/19–James W. Gann III

James W. Gann III of Cowan, passed this life on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at
Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga at the age of 36. Memorial Services are
scheduled for 2 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, beginning at 12 PM.

A native of Nashville, he was the son of the late James W Gann Sr and the
late Sharon Hendricks Gann. He enjoyed listening to music, drawing,
parasailing, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by wife, Leslie Gann of Cowan; sons, Cody William Gann of
Manchester and Madison James Gann of LA; daughters, Brionna Taleah Hanley
and her husband, Jonathan of Nashville; Macy Ciera Gann of Fayetteville,
Julianna Kaitlyn Gann of Winchester, Kaisa Janelle Gann of Petersburg and
Taylyn McKenzie Gann of Chattanooga; brother, James William Gann Jr;
sisters, Tabitha Brady and her husband, Rocky of LA, Jamie Lynn Baker and
her husband, Buddy of Manchester and Sharon Rene Gann of Manchester and

3/20/19 — Robert L. Grant

Robert L. Grant of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at
Tennova Harton Hospital at the age of 73. Funeral Services are scheduled
for 1 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with
burial to follow at Owens Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends
on Wednesday, beginning at 11 AM.

A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late William Porter
Grant and the late Cora Marie Pruitt Grant Bates. He enjoyed going for
rides in the country and watching wrestling and old western shows on TV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Wayne
Gifford and sister, Ora Lee Gifford Nelson.

Mr. Grant is survived by sons, Robert L. Grant Jr. of Tullahoma; twin sons,
Ronnie and Donnie Grant of Estill Springs; daughters, Sherry Dodson and her
husband, Kenneth of Tullahoma and Angela Shetters and her husband, Jeremy
of Estill Springs; stepson, Leon Sloan of Lynchburg; brother, John H Grant
and his wife, Yvonne of Winchester; sisters, Katherine Grant Mitchell of
Winchester and Violet Ann Sanders and her husband, Ray of Shelbyville;
sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and one great great
grandchild.

Ernest J. Johnson

Ernest J. Johnson of Fayetteville, passed this life on Friday, March 15,
2019 at his residence at the age of 68. No services are scheduled.

A native of Harlan County, KY, he was the son of the late Ernest Johnson
and the late Georgia Harris McQueen. He enjoyed spending time with his
family and watching his granddaughters grow up. He also enjoyed being on
the computer playing games and being on Facebook. He had many friends who
he communicated with on Facebook. He also loved the ocean.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Junior,
Bill, Frank, Ray and Donald McQueen and sisters, Loretta Shelton and Naomi
Cottrel.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Patsy McQueen of Fayetteville; son,
Jason McQueen; daughter, Natalie McQueen of Fayetteville; sisters, Sally
Folck of Fredonia, KS and Barbara Smith of Frankfort, IN; grandchildren,
Travis, Austin, Emily, Destini and Sereniti and several nieces, nephews and
cousins.

Jean Gemmell Fetzer

Jean Gemmell Fetzer, age 90, departed this life on March 13, 2019 at her home in Manchester, TN, following a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Fetzer, and son-in-law, Jim Oakley. She is survived by daughters, Beverly Oakley and Debra (Jerry) Jones; son, David Fetzer; grandchildren, Greg (Crystal) Oakley, Kristy Oakley, Jeremy Keele, and Michele Rolman; and seven great grandchildren. No services have been scheduled at this time.

3/16/19–Annie Louise Haley

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Louise Haley, age 92, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Manchester Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the Haley family will be from 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Haley passed from this life on Tuesday, March 12, 2019.

Mrs. Haley was born in Guntersville, Alabama, on August 11, 1926 to Allen Harvey Manning and Emma Lee Tipton. Around 1937, the family moved to Manchester, where she attended Red Hill, Fredonia Elementary and Manchester Central High School. She worked for many years at Tennessee Overall in Tullahoma and Snow White Dry Cleaners in Manchester. Mrs. Haley was a seamstress and did work for many people in Manchester. Mrs. Haley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Haley loved fishing and going to Bluegrass festivals where her husband was a musician, to whom she was married to for over 55 years. Mrs. Haley was a member of Hurricane Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Raymond Floyd Haley, Mrs. Haley was preceded in death by her son, Robert Franklin Yates of Manchester. Mrs. Haley is survived by sons, Jerry (Peggy) Yates of Murfreesboro, James (Margaret) Yates of Shelbyville, Gary (Angela) Haley of Manchester; daughter, Charlotte (Robert) Harrison of Summitville; her grandchildren, Sarah & Ashlee Haley, Michael Yates, Amy Burnett, Jimmy Yates, Matt Yates, Michelle Lynn, Tracey Yates Adams, Danielle Yates, Trevor Harrison, and James Carpenter; and several great grandchildren.

3/13/19–John Eldon Henry Foster

John Eldon Henry Foster, aka “Jack Frost” age 50 of
Manchester passed away at his home Friday March 8, 2019 after an extended
illness. He was a long-time Alabama fan.

Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Florence Poff
Foster. He is survived by sisters, Sylvia Armer (Ryan), Tanya Parker, and
Sheila Barnes (Gary); and faithful dog Jack. A Memorial Service will be

3/15/19 — Douglas Kent Davis

A celebration of life for Mr. Douglas Kent Davis, age 59, will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 15, 2019, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Davis passed from this life suddenly on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at his residence in Cookeville.

Doug was born in Georgia to the late Noel and Frances Davis. He was a Godly man and attended Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. He was very passionate about his country, loved sports and hiking, and had an amazing sense of humor. The most important thing to Doug in his life were his children and his family. He was a loving father, son, and brother.

In addition to his parents, Doug is also preceded in death by one brother, David Davis. He is survived by his son, Lenard “Allen” Davis; two daughters, Clara Beth Davis and Christi Davis Long (Brandon); one grandchild; one brother, Dwight Mathias (Susan).
