4/28/19 — Dr. Tom Holland

Dr. Tom Holland, Age 87, April 25, 2019. “In that bright city, pearly white city I have a mansion, a robe and a crown,” for Tom Holland those words in that song were thoughts of peace and hope while he was with us – today they are words of reality and truth for him.
Preacher, teacher, author, story teller, song writer, friend, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather – those are the many faces Tom shared with those he loved.
Born in Limestone County, Alabama on July 10, 1931 – passed to his new home on April 25, 2019.
Family includes Tommy (Becky) Holland, Lisa (Winston) Harless, Kell (Maria) Holland, John (Cami) Holland and Heather Helton. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Linda Holland was by Tom’s side for 47 years as his wife.
His first sermon preached at the age of 18. His last sermon was preached at the age of 87.
Tom taught at Freed-Hardeman University, Lipscomb University and Nashville School of Preaching. He was the pulpit minister at Crieve Hall Church of Christ and Riggs Church of Christ. Additionally he held gospel meetings in many churches throughout his lifetime.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Crieve Hall Church of Christ, 4806 Trousdale Drive, Nashville.
Life celebration at Crieve Hall Church of Christ on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

5/7/19 — Robert L. Curtin

Robert L. Curtin of Manchester passed this life on Tuesday, April 30, 2019
at Tennova-Harton Hospital in Tullahoma at the age of 67 years. Graveside
Services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 1 PM Eastern (12 PM
Central) at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

A native of Washington, DC, he was the son of the late George W. and
Dorothy Cameron Curtin. He was a U S Air Force veteran and enjoyed
watching sports and being with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn
Diane Curtin and brother, George William Curtin.

He is survived by a daughter, Jamie Case; sister, Patricia Curtin of
Waldorf, Maryland and three grandchildren, Colton and Dakota Case and
Kaitlyn Bowman.

5/3/19 — Jonathan Mark Lundquist

Mr. Jonathan Mark Lundquist, 62, passed away
Sunday April 28, 2019 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. He
was born in Manchester, Tennessee on July 8, 1956 to Charles Mervin
Lundquist and Lucille Verna Sandtrom Lundquist who preceded him in death. He
was also preceded by his brother, Christopher Michael Lundquist.

He was co-owner of Tolivers Jewelry and Loan in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He
was an avid outdoorsman, loved hiking, skiing, boating, loved all animals and
was hard worker.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Riddle Lundquist; brother, David
Matthew Lundquist; sister-in-law, Monie Lundquist; nieces, Cassie (Levi)
Norris and Charlie Mae Lundquist; nephew, Dylan Lundquist; many loving
nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews on the Riddle side of the family;
his loyal canine companion, JoJoe.

A celebration of life will be held 6:00 PM Friday in the Central Funeral
Home chapel with Minister Corey Henley, Gary Toliver and Joshua Riddle
officiating with a reception and time of visitation to follow in the
parlors of Central Funeral Home, Manchester, Tennessee.

David Brent Arnold

David Brent Arnold of Shelbyville, passed this life on Monday, April 29,
2019 at The Waters of Shelbyville at the age of 66 years. No services are
scheduled.

A native of Red Wing, Goodhue County, Minnesota, he was the son of the late
Rolland Edward and Verlyn Wilma Brown Arnold. He loved traveling, touring
wineries, playing golf and baseball and playing cards with friends.

He is survived by wife Mary Lou Arnold of Shelbyville; daughter, Amy Alicia
Mundt and her husband, William of Aurora, IL and brothers, Steven Arnold
and his wife, Jeanie of Wisconsin and William Arnold and his wife, Cindy of
Minnesota.

5/3/19–Mark Jerry Bass

Bass, Mark Jerry, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, April 26th, 2019 at his home at the age of 57. Mr. Bass was born in Tullahoma to the late Jerry W. and Carolyn Reid Bass. He served his country proudly in the United States Army from which he retired as a Sergeant and was a Veteran paratrooper of the 82nd Airborne Division. He also was a graduate of the University of Maryland where he majored in Business Management and minored in Psychology. After his retirement from active duty, Mr. Bass worked as a civilian employee for the military. He was a member of the VFW Post 862, the George Washington Lodge and was a Scottish Rite Freemason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Wayne Bass. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Mikaela Bass of Vicenza, Italy; two sons, Jonathan Wayne Bass (wife, Anna Piano Bass) of Fort Warren, Georgia and Shane Mark Bass of Vicenza, Italy; one brother, Thomas Scott Bass of Dalzell, South Carolina; and one grandson, William Wayne Bass. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 from 9:00am-10:00am at Kilgore Funeral Home with the funeral to immediately follow with Bro. David Wall officiating. Burial will follow at New Mount Herman Cemetery in Bedford County. Mark will be greatly missed and his memory will live within us all. AIRBORNE! ALL THE WAY!

Robert Estill Adams

Mr. Robert Estill Adams, 76, passed away Sunday
April 28, 2019 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro,
Tennessee. He was born in Manchester, Tennessee on October 2, 1942 to Hoyt
E. Adams and Nellie R. Evans Adams who preceded him in death along with his
wife, Joanne Wood Adams; brother, Windy Adams; sister, Melissa Wiser.

He was a lineman working at AEDC before his retirement.

He is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Jeff) Carter, Donna (Lee) Campbell
and Dee Freeman; brother, Raymond (Carolyn) Adams; sister, Linda Adams;
grandchildren, Colton Carter and Josh Wimley; several nieces and nephews;
best buddy, his canine companion, Voo.

5/1/19 — Carl Jackie Marlow

Funeral services for Mr. Carl Jackie Marlow, age 75, of Hillsboro, TN, will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Prairie Plains Cemetery in Hillsboro, TN. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Marlow passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Elk River Health and Rehab in Winchester, TN.

Jackie was born in Manchester, TN, the son of the late George and Hazel Penny Marlow. He was retired from the Coffee County Highway Department and was a member of Rutledge Hill Church. Jackie loved racing boats and motorcycles. He also enjoyed fishing and farming.

In addition to his parents, Jackie was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Finney Marlow; three brothers, George Marlow, Jr., Howard Marlow and Billy Marlow; and two sisters, Dorothy Hill and Lucille Meeks. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Hill of Hillsboro; and one grandchild, Robert Cummins.

Dustin Wade Giles of Winchester, passed this life on Friday, April 26, 2019
at Southern Tennessee Medical Center at the age of 32 years. Funeral
Services are scheduled for Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 1 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Mill Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 5 – 8 PM.

A native of Winchester, he was the son of Timothy Giles of Manchester and
Deborah Duke Armstrong of Morrison. He enjoyed playing pool and watching
movies. His favorite times were spent with his family. “He was a wonderful
father, husband and son.”

In addition to his parents, Timothy Giles of Manchester and Deborah
Armstrong and her husband, Lee of Morrison, he is survived by wife, Emily
Simmons Giles of Winchester; son, Vindric Giles; daughters, Kyrah and
Ozzlynn Giles; grandparents, Ernest and Betty Giles of Manchester;
grandfather, Cecil Duke of Tullahoma; sisters, Heather Hackett and her
husband, David of Manchester and Chasity Tankersley and her husband, Timmy
of Tullahoma and several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

4/27/19 — Gladys Marie Wiseman

Wiseman, Gladys Marie, of Estill Springs, passed this life on Thursday, April 25th, 2019 at Elk River Health & Rehabilitation in Winchester at the age of 83. Mrs. Wiseman was born in Winchester to the late Harvey D. and Ollie Tant Cossey and was a member of Estill Springs Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wiseman was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Gore Wiseman; and one granddaughter, Chasity Marie Wiseman. She is survived by three children, Gail Johnson and her husband Danny of Bath, South Carolina, Johnny Doyle Wiseman and his wife Sheila of Estill Springs and Stacie Reed and her husband Ron of Estill Springs; six grandchildren, Devin, Kevin, Sean, Michelle (Duane), Nick (Lauren) and Mindi (Jacob); eight great-grandchildren, Damien, Kaia, Brody, Dominic, Kendyl, Brody, Kolin and Ben; and one great-great grandson, Sebastian. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26th, 2019 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with James Cossey officiating. Burial will follow at New Center Grove Cemetery in Estill Springs.

4/27/19 — Darlene Alice Johnson Wilson

Darlene Alice Johnson Wilson, age 64, died Saturday night December 29, 2018 in UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Born July 21, 1954 in Kearney, Nebraska she was the daughter of the late Delaine and Margaret Hoteling Johnson.

Per Darlene’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at the Fredonia Cemetery on April 27, 2019 at a 1:00pm

Surviving are her husband, Gerald Wilson, Jr.; sons, Brandon Wilson of Huntsville, AL and Preston Wilson of Clayton, NC; brother, Darrel Johnson of Manchester, TN; and grandson, Drey Wilson of Waynesboro, VA.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Faith Lutheran Church, 101 Bragg Circle, Tullahoma, TN, 37388.
