7/15/19–Chasten Ryean Britton
Altamont, Tennessee – Miss Chasten Ryean Britton, 20, passed away Thursday July 4, 2019 from injuries she received in a atv accident. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on April 26, 1999. Chasten was a registered dental assistant and was employed by Janet G. Gardner DDS Family Dentistry in Tullahoma.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmylee Hollis Barrett; grandparents, Deborah Louise Bess, Ricky Cunningham and Jimmy Barrett; great grandparents, Edgar and Elizabeth Bess, Frances Britton.
She is surived by her mother and step-father, Chasity and Jarron Barrett; father, Tony Britton; brother, Dylan Britton; sisters, Jaylyn Barrett and Kendra Britton; grandparents, Jeannie Helsel, Tony Britton Sr. and Kay Barrett.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Altamont with Aaron Barrett officiating. Burial will be in the AirView Cemetery. Visitation: 12:00 Noon – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
7/11/19 — Geneva Renee Hartman
Geneva Renee Hartman of Shelbyville, passed this life on Tuesday, July 9,
2019 at her residence at the age of 50 years. Funeral Services are
scheduled for 11 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home with burial to follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation with the
family will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 5 – 8 PM
Renee, a native of Tullahoma, was the daughter of Bobby Lowe Sr of
Manchester and Laura Lowe of Tullahoma. She was a member of New Haven
Baptist Church in Tullahoma. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and loved
to color. She enjoyed fishing and watching dolphins. Her favorite times
were spent with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Hartman was preceded is death by four grandchildren, Hayden, Hadley,
Ellie and Nellie Nowlin. In addition to her parents, she is survived by
fiancé, Mark Gilliam of Tullahoma; sons, Jordan Nowlin and his wife,
Heather and Timothy Nowlin and his wife, Heidi, both of Shelbyville;
brothers, Chris Lowe of Manchester and Bobby Lowe Jr and his wife, Melinda
of Tullahoma; sisters, Jennifer Hickerson and her husband, Jimmy of
Manchester, Cassidy Pleasants of Shelbyville and Lisa Renee Finchum of New
Jersey and grandchildren, Noah and Bailey Nowlin.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made
in her honor to Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

William Joe Walters of Beechgrove, passed this life on Thursday, July 4,
2019 at his residence at the age of 46 years. Graveside Services are
scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, July 12, 2019 at Wiser Bluff Cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 11 AM until 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson
Funeral Home.
Joe, a native of Lexington, KY, was the son of Roger and Velinda Cawood
Walters of Beechgrove. He enjoyed fishing and camping and loved his dogs.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandmother, Ruby
Abner-Porter of Beechgrove; son, Noah Walters of Murfreesboro; sister,
Jeanne Travis and her husband, Frankie of Beechgrove and grandchild, Hadley
Rae Walters.

Peter Frogner
Peter Frogner of Tullahoma, Tennessee, was born on August 21, 1938, and died on July 5, 2019. He was 80 years old and lived a full and happy life. He died as he wished, at home with his beloved wife, Sara Fitzgerald, and his wonderful dogs, Scruffy and Buddy.
A native of Grand Marais, Minnesota, Peter traveled the world and had may great experiences. The people he has called his friends have heard the stories of these experiences many times as only Peter could tell them..
He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Luther Frogner and his mother, Grace Lucille Eastman Frogner.
He is survived by his wife, his brother, Karl (Kanith) Frogner of Thailand, his sister, Jean Frogner of Two Harbors, Minnesota, and his nephew, Luke Frogner of San Antonio, Texas.
By his wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

7/12/19 — Donald McGeehee Moody
Donald McGeehee Moody of Fayetteville, passed this life on Saturday, July 6, 2019, after a brief illness, at his residence at the age of 87. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 PM, Friday, July 12, 2019 at Lynchburg Funeral Home with burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 AM.
A native of Fayetteville, he was the son of the late Chester Bond and Beulah Murray McGeehee Moody. He was a U S Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. He graduated from MTSU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Arts and later received his Master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation from the Florida International University in Miami. He worked for many years for the State of Florida as a Facility’s Coordinator.
Mr. Moody was a life long Baptist and a member of the Marble Plains Baptist Church. He was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and enjoyed reading, especially Western novels. His favorite author was Louis L’Amour. Mr. Moody was always very close to his parents and sister as he was growing up and has always enjoyed being with family. He also has a very special pet, Shalako the Maltipoo. Mr. Moody was an extremely kind and generous man who would go out of his way to help others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Nell Bond Warren.
Mr. Moody is survived by his wife, Glynda Moody of Fayetteville; daughter, Donna Hall and her husband, James of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren Laurence Hall of West Palm Beach, FL and Sarah Hall of Tampa, FL; great grandchildren, Ryder and Wyatt Hall; nieces, Brenda Rasmus of West Palm Beach, FL and Wendy Vitali of Fayetteville and their families and many extended family members and friends.

7/17/19–Frances Brock Tilley
Frances Brock Tilley, age 92, entered her eternal home on July 3, 2019. Prior to illness that led to residence at Keestone Senior Community in Lawrence County, she was a long-time resident of Coffee County, having previously served as the county’s Registrar of Voters, and Adult Education Teacher with the South Central Human Resource Agency. She was a loyal member of First Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star of Manchester, where she was a former Worthy Matron. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Tilley or Boots, as she referred to herself, will be known and remembered for her unselfishness and acts of kindness, especially to her students, whom she often referred to as “my people”.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Carl Brock, Columbus, GA; her mother, Evelyn Cartwright Brock Brookshire, Columbus, GA; her loving husband of 67 years, Talmage E. Tilley, Manchester, TN; one brother, Millard Brock, Columbus, GA; and one sister, Margaret Swain, Columbus, GA.
She is survived by three children: one son, Tom Tilley, Louisville, TN; two daughters, Jacqualyn Burton (Rhett), Huntsville, AL, and Vicki Maddox, Lawrenceburg, TN; six grandchildren, Shay Tilley (Shannon), Troy Burton (Leah), Brian Burton (Lisa), Brittney Brison (Brian), Michelle Snider (Erik), and Tamara Fazio (Roy); twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A private family burial for Frances Brock Tilley was held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Burial followed alongside her late husband and son. A tribute to her life is scheduled for August 17, 2019, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, TN.

7/7/19 — Peggie Sue West
Peggie Sue West, age 74 of Winchester, passed away Wednesday July 3, 2019 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents LD and Lorene Nunn; brother Alfred Nunn; sisters Billie Jane Terry, Betty Carter, and Bonnie Pogue.
Mrs. West is survived by her sister Sandra York of Alabama; husband of 54 years Roger West; and numerous nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday July 7, 2019. Visitation will be from 11:00 Am to 3:00 PM Sunday.

7/13/19 — Lauren Gann
Lauren Gann of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, July 5, 2019 at her residence at the age of 34 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 PM.
Lauren, a native of Woodbury, was the daughter of the late Ricci Gann and Kathleen Dement Gann of Tullahoma. She loved watching Disney movies, bowling, coloring and making lists.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sisters, Carey Brown of Hillsboro and Sara Muscha and her husband, David of Tullahoma.

Nichols, Miriam Anderson, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019 at Brookdale Senior Living at the age of 87. Miriam was born in Williamsburg County, South Carolina to the late Harold Gustaf Anderson Sr. and Vivian Ophelia Bailey Anderson. Prior to retiring in 1995, she was employed for 30 years by various operating contractors at the Arnold Engineering Development Center. Miriam was also a member of Highland Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hudson “Hut” Nichols; one son, Patrick Bailey Nichols; two brothers, Philip E. Anderson and Harold G. Anderson Jr.; two sisters, Nancy Anderson Veazey and Gertrude Spears. Miriam is survived by three sons, Theodore “Ted” Nichols and his wife Michelle, Robert “Bobby” Nichols and his wife Sandra, and Scott Nichols; nine grandchildren, Luke, Jacob, Justin, Brandon, Matthew, Andrew, Anna, Rebekah and Brittany; two great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Gordy; one sister, Pauline Spears; and daughter-in-law, Tracy Nichols. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5th, 2019 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 10:00am-12:00pm with the funeral to immediately follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Jim Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Pamela Virginia Taylor
Taylor, Pamela Virginia, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019 at her home at the age of 72. Mrs. Taylor was born in Worchester, Massachusetts to the late James T. Sr. and Gloria Dobson and had seven brothers and sisters, James T. Jr, Patricia, Deborah, Martha, Edward, Leslie and Gloria Dobson. She was also a former employee of Food Lion in Tullahoma. In addition to her parent, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Curtis Taylor Sr. She is survived by four sons, Morris Taylor, Jr., Jonathan Taylor, Marcus Taylor and his wife Tiffany, and Andrew Taylor; grandchildren, Alecia Casey, Miranda Jade, Ronan and Lily Taylor and Roman, Maliah, Tyrese and Taliyah Taylor. No services are scheduled at this time.
