Margaret Neal

Margaret Neal, age 77, of Belvidere, Tennessee, passed away at Saint Thomas West on Monday, July 15, 2019.

Sandy K. Underwood

Sandy K Underwood of Estill Springs, passed this life on Friday, July 12,
2019 at Tennova Harton Hospital at the age of 52 years. Private memorial
services will be held at a later date.

Sandy, a native of Winchester, was the daughter of the late Frank Reid and
Joyce Williams Reid of Winchester. She loved the ocean and going to the
beach. She also enjoyed rock music and going to concerts.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by sister, Kathy
Brewer. She is survived by her mother, Joyce Williams Reid of Winchester;
husband, Danny Underwood of Estill Springs; daughter, Stevie Underwood of
Shelbyville; brother, Eddie Reid and his wife, Debbie of Winchester and
grandchild, Alejandra Martinez.

7/14/19 — David Shurdon Owen Jr.

Mr. David Shurdon Owen Jr., 97, passed away
Thursday July 11, 2019 at the Lincoln Donalson Care Center in Fayetteville,
Tennessee. He was born in Clarksville, Tennessee on November 11, 1921 to
David Shurdon Owen Sr. and Tom Sutton Owen who preceded him in death along
with his wife, Ruth Dabney Meriwether Owen; sister, Lillian F. Baddley.

David attended the Howell School and graduated from Clarksville High School.
He worked alongside his father in the Owen & Owen Grocery Store until his
father died in 1946. The Store was closed and he went to work for the
Taylor Radio Service. He married Ruth Dabney Meriwether daughter of Robert
Tutwiler Meriwether and Ruth Mabry Meriwether on August 4, 1940. They were
married for 68 years. After her death he moved to Fayetteville, Tennessee.

He was a staff sargent in the US Army Airforce from 1943 – 1946 during WWII
serving as aerial gunner instructor. He was a member of the First
Methodist Church in Manchester and the Clarksville Lodge #89 F&AM.He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth O. (Bill) Thomison,

Fayetteville, TN and Bonnie Jean Owen, Nashville, TN; son, David Shurdon
Owen III, Warner Robbins, GA; grandchildren, Elizabeth Helen Thomison,
Quinlan, Texas, Diana Ruth Mortenson, Frankfort, Ky, William Carlock
Thomison III, Decatur, AL and David Shurdon Owen IV, Jonesboro, GA; 2 great
grandchildren, Joshua Mortenson and Zachary Mortenson.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:30 Sunday July 14, 2019 at the
Hillsboro Methodist Cemetery with Minister Jon Bell officiating. Visitation:

7/13/19 — Dana Thurston Blackburn

DANA THURSTON BLACKBURN, age 65, of Tullahoma, Tenn, departed this life on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. Mr. Blackburn was born in Shelbyville, Tenn., on August 21, 1953, to the late George Thurston Blackburn and Wanda Lee Arnold Blackburn. He was of the Church of Christ Faith. He was a Truck driver, before becoming disabled. Mr. Blackburn was an avid fisherman, he was always detailing his Toyota Tacoma Truck. Most of All he loved his family.

He is survived by his sons; Chris Blackburn of Panama City, Florida, Bryan Blackburn of Commerce, Georgia, sisters; Karen McGowan of Winchester, Denise Gannon of Tullahoma, Deenen (James) Davies of Vernon, Florida, Grandchildren – Nicholas, Bridgett and Avery Blackburn, several Nieces and Nephews, that he dearly loved.

Visitation for Mr. Blackburn will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 13, in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, with Bro. Randy Davis, officiating, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

Interment will follow in the Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville, TN

Barry Keith Sanson

Hillsboro, Tennessee – Mr. Barry Keith Sanson, 47, passed away Friday July
12, 2019 at his home. He was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee on July 17, 1971
to Harvey Sanson Jr. and Wilcie L. Blaylock Sanson who preceded him in
death.

He was of the Baptist faith. He was employed by Calsonic up until his
health declined.

He is survived by his brothers, Stacy Sanson and Mark Sanson.

Graveside funeral services will be 1:30 PM Monday at Hillsboro Methodist
Cemetery with Minister Andrew Sekulich officiating. Visitation: 11:00 AM –
1:00 PM Monday at Central Funeral Home, Manchester, Tennessee.

7/13/19 — Ray Dean Rackley

Mr. Ray Dean Rackley, 59, passed away Tuesday June
9, 2019 at his home. He was born in Manchester, Tennessee on October 30,
1959 to Arthur Rackley and Opal Binkley Rackley who preceded him in death
along with his daughter, Brandi Rackley; infant twin sisters, Thelma and
Velma Rackley; brothers, Donnie, Jerry and Howard Dorset Rackley.

He was a grill operator at Waffle House and attended the Cornerstone Church
of Jesus Christ in Hillsboro.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Moore Rackley; daughters, Amie (Kevin)
Rhoton, Jamie (Tracy) Meister, Jenny (Michael) Doud and Amber Ramirez;
sons, Dallas (Christina) Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Jay Rackley, Brandon
(Cortney) Rackley and David (Jane) Tidwell; sister, Darlene Rackley;
brothers, Oliver (Anna) Rackley, J.C. (Sandra) Rackley, Mace (Joyce)
Rackley and Paul Rackley; 24 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a host
of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday in the Central Funeral
Home chapel with Minister Larry Moore officiating. Visitation: 9:00 AM –

7/13/19 — Sammy Powell Anderson, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Sammy Powell Anderson, Jr., age 68, of Manchester, TN will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Manchester Funeral Home with Terry Milburn and Terrell Bunting officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Anderson passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN, surrounded by his loving family.

Sammy was born in Manchester, TN, the son of the late S.P. “Pete” and Margaret Green Anderson. He was a farmer and the founding owner of Summitville Grain and Feed Co. Sammy was a member of Manchester Church of Christ, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He loved traveling and all sports, but especially Tennessee Titans and Tennessee football.

Sammy is survived by his wife, Cindy Brown Anderson; two children, Sammy (Michelle) Anderson, III and Suzanne Anderson (Joe Darren) Boze; sister, Freda Kay (Bobby) Jones; niece, Shanelle Bryan (Kyle) Gray; grandchildren, Sammy Powell “Pete” Anderson, IV, Daniel Lee Anderson, John Thomas Anderson, Elizabeth Ann Anderson, Michael Frelan Anderson, Joe Fox Boze, and Anderson Essex Boze; and two great grandchildren, Amanda and Blair Anderson.

Robert Thomas Crook

Crook, Robert Thomas, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 at NHC at the age of 83. Mr. Crook was born in Syracuse, New York to the late Thomas Francis and Ruth Huntley Crook and raised in upstate New York near Syracuse. His sister was Margaret Crook Humphrey. Bob graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering in 1958. He moved to Dayton, Ohio, working in Aircraft Lab’s Wind Tunnel Branch at Wright Patterson AFB. While at WPAFB, he served as a project engineer in the 20’ Subsonic Tunnel, the 10’ Transonic Tunnel and the High Temperature Mach 4 Facility. While in Dayton, Bob met and married Judith Ann Dausch and they have been married for 58 years. In 1963, Bob and Judy moved to St. Louis where Bob worked at McDonnell Aircraft in the Gas Dynamics Lab where he did technology development in the Hotshot and Polysonic Wind Tunnels. He also did Test Project engineering in company tunnels as well as AEDC and NASA tunnels (mostly F-4 development tests and F-15 configuration development and stores compatibility testing). Bob also attended the University of Missouri at Rolla and obtained his master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering and Engineering Management. He and Judith moved to Tullahoma in 1974, working for the Air Force at AEDC in several jobs, ending as Deputy Director of Technology and retired in 2006. Bob was a charter member of the Tullahoma chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America. He sang in the chorus and several quartets and served in several offices. He was also a charter member of the Highland Rim Bicycle Club, which was founded in 1974 and remained an active member until his death. He served several times in all club offices but his main activity was planning and participation in the weekly club rides. Bob has been a member of the Tullahoma Noon Rotary Club since 2001 and was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Tullahoma. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Judy Crook of Tullahoma; and several nieces and nephews. No services are currently planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Tullahoma Animal Shelter, 942 Maplewood Avenue, Tullahoma, Tennessee 37388.

Robert W. Moore

Robert W. Moore, age 77, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, passed away at Saint Thomas DeKalb Hospital on Wednesday, July 10, 2019.

7/12/19 — William Allen Jenkins

WILLIAM ALLEN JENKINS, age 56, of Belvidere, Tenn., formerly of Montgomery, Texas, departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at his residence. Mr. Jenkins was born in San Jose, Cal. to the late William Lee Jenkins and Twilla Eileen Twigg Jenkins on August 15, 1962. Mr. Jenkins and his wife recently moved from Texas to Tennessee this week. He was a member of the Wildwoods United Methodist Church in Magnolia, Texas and enjoyed attending the Men’s Bible Study. He was last employed as a paramedic with Cypress Creek EMS in Texas and taught a class for paramedics at the Lone Star Community College for the past two years. He was a Ham Radio Operator for many years and was also a private pilot.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Jenkins of Belvidere, Tenn., sister, Linda Sutherland and husband, Eric of Belvidere, 10 nieces and nephews, 32-great-nieces and nephews, 2 brother-in-laws; Dennis Gilmore of Odessa, Texas and James Gilmore of Killeen, Texas.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Winchester First Baptist Church with Bro. Craig Bell, officiating.
