10/24/19 — Paulette Phillips Baucum
Paulette Phillips Baucum, of Shelbyville, passed this life on Sunday, October 20th, 2019 at NHC Tullahoma at the age of 73. Mrs. Baucum was born in Murfreesboro to the late Paul and Marjorie Taylor Phillips. She was a member of the church of Christ at Cedar Lane where she served as church secretary for over 30 years. Mrs. Baucum is survived by her husband, William Baucum; one daughter, Rebecca McDaniel and her husband David; one son, Tres Baucum and his wife Vicki; one sister, Emmalyn Snavely; two brothers, Edward Phillips and his wife Patricia, and Scott Phillips and his wife Robin; five grandchildren, Phillip Reynolds and his wife Britney, Kody McDaniel, Amber McDaniel, Mason Baucum, and Ezekiel Baucum; and five great-grandchildren, Anna, Landen, Estella, Ronan, and Cassian. Visitation for Mrs. Baucum will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 from 5:00-8:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place Thursday, October 24th,2019 at 12:00pm at the church of Christ at Cedar Lane with Bros. Pat Allison and Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Garden. For those who wish, the family asks that donations in Paulette’s memory be made to either the Tennessee Children’s Home, P.O. 10/25/19 — Coleman Glenn Harmon
Memorial services for Mr. Coleman Glenn Harmon, age 79, of Manchester, TN will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2019 at Manchester Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Mr. Harmon passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at his residence.
Coleman was born in Coffee County, the son of the late Joe and Cora Pauline Harmon. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. Coleman retired from A.O. Smith formally known as Magnatech as a Maintenance Mechanic after over thirty years. He also was a Master Mason of the Ezell Lodge. In his spare time, he enjoyed, shooting guns, building cars, attending flea markets, fishing, and most of all he loved his dogs.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, James P. Harmon; two brothers, Harold Harmon and Douglas Harmon. He is survived by one son, Joe A. Harmon; one daughter, Rhonda Harmon; one sister, Carletta Alford; two grandchildren, Mandie (Jordon) Barecky and Chanda (Bryan) O’Dare; five great grandchildren, Alexis Barecky, Kearra Barecky, Kacey Barecky, Hannah Lafever, and Jayden O’Dare.

10/26/19 — Lucy Jane Deal
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Jane Deal, age 73, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Old Blanton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2019, at the funeral home. Mrs. Deal passed from this life on Monday, October 21, 2019, at her residence in Manchester, TN.
Lucy was born in Coffee County, TN, to the late James “J.R.” and Addie Wiser. Before retirement, Lucy was a librarian for Manchester City Schools. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, she loved sewing and quilting, and enjoyed going to the Farmer’s Market. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister.
Lucy is survived by her loving husband of over 40 years, Charles Deal; one daughter, Mindy Deal; two brothers, Robert and Claude Wiser; three sisters, Teresa Frame, Mary Stoakes, and Doris Hines; and several nieces and nephews.

10/26/19 –Grady Hobson Saunders, Jr.
Grady Hobson Saunders, Jr., 70, passed away at Tennova Harton Hospital on
October 16, 2019.
He was born in Auburn, AL in 1948 while his father was an instructor at the
university. Later moving to Huntsville, AL, he graduated from Butler High
School in 1966. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in
Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University.
After meeting his wife Coleen at Auburn University, they married and moved
to Tullahoma where he worked as an engineer at Arnold Engineering
Development Center from 1974 to 1985 at PWT where he specialized in Store
Separation and Dynamic Facility Control Simulations. He moved to Sverdrup
downtown from 1985 to 1997 and worked as a consultant until his retirement.
He was a member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Lifelong interests include music, old movies, and aviation. He was a
member of the Auburn University Marching Band during his college years and
loved Big Band music particular. Grady helped start the South Jackson
Street Band with several friends and played with them from its inception
until the mid-2000’s, when he hung up his bass and supported them as a
member of the audience.
Grady was interested in old movies, especially those made before 1945 and
had a collection of his favorites.
As an aerospace engineer, his interest in airplanes and aviation never
wavered. As a pilot, he enjoyed flying in his younger years and being a
part of the Tullahoma Bunch and Beechcraft Heritage Museum. He built
dozens of models over the years and was a long-time member of the Aircraft
Owners and Pilots Association.
A lifelong Auburn University fan, Grady enjoyed watching football with his
family and was excited when his granddaughter, Lila, decided to attend Auburn
University like her grandparents.
His love of his family was very strong and he kept up with his
grandchildren’s sports activities even when he was unable to attend. He
also spent many years as scorekeeper for his son’s baseball teams.
He is predeceased in death by his parents, Della Nobles Saunders and Grady
Hobson Saunders, Sr., and his sister, Susan Golden, all of Huntsville, AL.
Grady is survived by his wife of 49 years, Coleen, son and
daughter-in-law, Pike and Sonia Toombs Saunders, and grandchildren, Lila
(18), Emeri (13), and Beaux (10), all of Tullahoma.
Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Daves
Culbertson from 11 am until 2 pm. This informal visitation is a
celebration of memories with friends and coworkers.

10/20/19 — Margie Ruth Tucker Medley
Graveside services for Mrs. Margie Ruth Tucker Medley, age 80, of Estill Springs, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at New Brick Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Manchester Funeral Home on Sunday before the service. Mrs. Medley passed from this life on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Manchester Healthcare in Manchester, TN.
Margie was born in Winchester, TN, to the late Johnnie and Lottie Tucker. She was a machine operator for Eden Industries before retirement. Margie loved being outside in her flower bed and watch hummingbirds.
In addition to her parents, Margie is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Medley; one son, James Kevin Medley; one daughter-in-law, Angela Medley; three brothers, Paul, Frank, and Bill Tucker; two sisters, Faye Banks and Mary Foster. She is survived by one son, Claude C. Medley; one daughter, Vickie Evans (Stephen); two sisters, Joyce Randolph and Betty Wimberley; two grandsons, Jason Evans (Lacey) and Matt Evans (Kristy); two great-grandchildren, Luke and Libby Evans.

Stella was born in Manchester to the late Homa Jarrod Lower and Mary Alice Taylor Lowe. She was a homemaker and a member of Fountain Grove United Methodist Church.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Homa Jarrod Lowe and Mary Alice Taylor Lowe; her loving husband of 39 years, Everett “Ray” Rayfield; one son, Bruce Rayfield; one brother, Landon Lowe. She is survived by three daughters, Judy Rayfield Spears (Jimmy), Vickie Rayfield Ham, and Penny Rayfield Stringer (Kip); one sister, Ruth Lowe Freeze; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
10/19/19–Doris Marie Crosslin
Doris Marie Crosslin of Manchester passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Cleabert and Lois M. Farless Floyd. Mrs. Crosslin was an employee of the Pajama Corporation of America for 16 years until she developed the serious, life-altering illness of Lupus. Later in life she became an active member of the Meals on Wheels program for a number of years where she met many deserving families. She also served as the dedicated chairman for the adult canning and baking displays at the Coffee County Fair for 22 years. Mrs. Crosslin was a member of the Forest Mills United Methodist Church. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 62 years, H.D. Crosslin of Manchester; one daughter, Gina Crosslin Carr and her husband James of Tullahoma; two grandchildren, Jessie and Carter Smartt of Manchester; two brothers, Morris Floyd and his wife Emogene of Manchester, and Wayne Floyd and his wife Geraldine of Beech Grove; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Ringer of Manchester, and Joyce Nichols and her husband Marvin of Manchester; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation for Mrs. Crosslin will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 5:00-8:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place Saturday, October 19th at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel with Bros. Peter Ferguson and Barry Phelps officiating. 10/21/19 — Howard “Leroy” Wilkerson
Howard “Leroy” Wilkerson, 59, of Winchester, TN passed away Saturday,
October 12, 2019 at St. Thomas West Hospital, surrounded by his loving
family. He was born in Nashville, TN on May 31, 2019 to Helen Wilkerson and
the late William Chatman.
In addition to Mr. Chatman, Leroy was preceded in death by his step-father,
Jessie Johnson Sr., one brother, William R. Chatman Jr, and one sister,
Linda Luckey
He is survived by his mother, Helen Johnson; two daughters, Kia Elliot and
Sharnai Foster; five brothers, Ricky Johnson (Donna), Jessie Johnson Jr.,
Michael Johnson, Steven Chatman (Darnee) and William Calvin Chatman
(Tanya); six sisters, Pamela Draine, Lisa Turrentine (Harold), LaTonya
Minard (Frank), Emily Shropshire (William), Ophelia Morris (Walter), and
Wanda Hodges (Jonathan); and two grandchildren, as well as host of nieces,
nephews, and extended family.
Leroy was a faithful member of the First Seventh-Day Adventist Church on
Horton St. in Decherd and loved the Lord. He was a self-proclaimed “Clever
Little Hustler’ who loved to stay busy and loved his family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21st, 2019 at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with a visitation starting at
12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Watson North Memorial Park in Winchester, TN

10/17/19 — Raymond Johnson “Dinky” Duke
Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Johnson “Dinky” Duke, age 82, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Manchester Funeral Home with Dwight Duckworth and Ricky Duke officiating. Burial will follow in New Reddens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16 and from 11:00 AM until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Duke passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Raymond was born in Rutherford County, TN, the son of the late William Johnson and Beatrice Shelton Duke. Before retirement, Raymond was employed at Wilson Sporting Goods in Tullahoma for 42 years, where he worked in the professional finishing department. He served several terms as a Coffee County Road Commissioner and was a member of Riley Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Eddie Duke; and one sister, Peggy Duke Holden. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Beaty Duke; one daughter, Dana (Tim) Morris; two grandchildren, Emily (Jon) Robinson and Lauren (Jamie) Crouch; three great grandchildren, Charley Elizabeth and Jonathan Briggs Robinson and Regan Alandra Crouch.

Carl R. Flynn
Carl R. Flynn, 77, of Winchester, TN passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Zanesville, OH to the late Leonard and Martha Flynn on October 2nd, 1942.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Brenda Spillman Flynn; one son, Jeffrey Flynn; one daughter, Kristine Howard (Scot); brother, Terry Flynn; two sisters, Diana Snyder and Emma Wright; and four grandchildren, Jeffrey Cale Flynn, Richard Howard, Julia Howard, and Derek Howard, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Carl was a wonderful man who loved dancing, bowling, and a good game of horseshoes from time to time. He proudly served his county with the US Army Reserves and always made his family his first priority..
