11/6/19 — Emma Jean Underwood
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Jean Underwood, age 86, of Beechgrove, TN will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Chip Sekulich officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until the time of the service at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Underwood passed from this life on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL.
Emma was born in Murfreesboro, TN to the late Cecil and Rose Mason. She was a member of Gossburg Community Church in Beechgove, TN and attended The Bridge Church in Pembroke, GA. She retired from Arnold Engineering Development Complex as a Public Affairs Assistant. Emma and her husband Glen were owners of the Underwood General Store in Beechgrove for more than 30 years. Emma was very active in her church serving as the secretary. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, and listening to music. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a wonderful friend to many. She loved the Lord!

In addition to her parents, Emma is preceded in death by her husband, Glen Underwood; two brothers, J.D Mason and Billy Ray Mason; one sister, Ruby Dell Richards; and one grandson, Chris Glass. She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Underwood Cayton Todd (Marty) and Debbie Underwood Toop (Bob); two sisters, Nancy Hill and Johnnie Mae Lowe; three grandchildren, Tommy Glass (Elaine), Davy Glass (Jenn), Gunnar Cayton; three step grandchildren, Brandi Womack (Terrance), Matthew Todd (Catherine), and Stephen Todd; and ten great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Gossburg Community Church.

A celebration of life for Mrs. Billie Carol Womack, age 72, of Manchester will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Manchester Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday. Mrs. Womack passed from this life at her residence on Thursday, October 31, 2019.
Carol was born in Dayton, Tennessee to Robert and Billie Kelly. She was a bus driver for Coffee County Schools for 24 years. Carol loved to travel and go on cruises with her family. She was also an avid animal lover and enjoyed going hot air ballooning. Carol was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.
Carol is preceded in death by her father, Robert Kelly; her loving husband, Terry Womack; one niece, Shanon Hall. She is survived by her mother, Billie Kelly; one son, Adam Womack (Amy); one daughter, Amy Bruce (James); one brother, Michael Kelly (Cindy); one sister, Patricia Hall (Bill); seven grandchildren, Addison, Avery, Aidan, Ashton, Ben, Blake, and Brian (Maegan); brother-in-law, Kenneth Womack (Mary); nephews, Dylan and Colby Hall; niece, Jess Compertore (Keith); best friends of 44 years, Martha and John Parker.

11/4/19 — Paul “Dickie” Richard Harris
Paul “Dickie” Richard Harris, passed this life on Thursday, October 31,
2019 in Manchester at the age of 75. Funeral Services are scheduled for
Monday, November 4, 2019 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with
burial to follow at Blanton Cemetery in Manchester. The family will
receive friends beginning at 11 AM.
Mr. Harris, a native of Coffee County, was the son of the late Ervin and
Opal Thornberry Harris. He “Never Met a Stranger” and loved talking to
people. He was a collector of “Old Things” and was always looking for old
farm tools and furniture. He enjoyed gardening and “grew the best tomatoes
around”. He also enjoyed raising chickens. He played guitar and enjoyed
training and riding horses..
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Shawn Wade
Harris; brothers, Jimmy and Edward Harris and sister, Judy Wagner.
He is survived by sons, Rick Harris, Michael Harris (Mona) and Wesley
Harris (Christy), all of Manchester; daughter, Alicia Ann Harris of Paron,
AR; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Boyles of Estill Springs and Elaine Warren of
Tullahoma; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

11/2/19 — Mary Pearl Foster
Funeral services for Ms. Mary Pearl Foster, age 87 of Hillsboro, will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 4 PM in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with pastor Kent Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Hill cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation with the family will begin at 12 noon on Saturday until the time of service. Ms. Foster passed away on October 31, 2019, at her home after an extended illness.
Ms. Pearl was born on March 23, 1932, in Colt, AR to the late William C. and Junie Lee Williford Hubert. She was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church. She also was a bookkeeper for sixteen years for Fussell Graham-Anderson Department Store in AR and a bookkeeper for the estate of David King in Manchester for sixteen years. Ms. Pearl loved sewing, quilting, and crafting, but her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Pearl is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Foster; brothers, Eugene, Odie, and Orville Hubert; sister, Ruby Carr. She is survived by her sons, John C. Foster and wife, Kelley, and Thomas H. Foster and wife, Susan; four grandchildren, John, Tyler, Donald, and Thomas Foster; six great grandchildren, Jaiden, Jaida, Lane, Lilly, and Donald, Jr.; five sisters, Betty Gross, Helen Johnson, Emma Blaylock, Francis Duvall, and Agnes Sturkey.

11/2/19 — Marie Joyce Garner
Funeral services for Miss Marie Joyce Garner, age 57 of Morrison, will be conducted on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Leonard Herman officiating. Burial will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Miss Garner passed away on October 28, 2019.
Marie was born on November 21, 1961 in McMinnville to the late Jesse A. Garner, Sr. and Helen Marie Harrell Garner. She was a special person created as a child of God. She lived a simple life with her brother, Junior, on the farm surrounded by animals that she loved dearly and playfully named them by colors. She loved flowers. She was a member of Hickory Grove the Baptist Church and was faithful in reading her Bible and without a doubt is in Glory forever with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Survived by her brothers, Jesse Garner, Jr. and Dale Garner (Shannon); nephew, Steven Garner; niece, Canaan Garner; numerous cousins.

11/3/19 — Betty Ann DeWolfe
Betty Ann DeWolfe passed this life on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at
Woodbury Nursing and Rehab at the age of 83. Graveside Services are
scheduled for Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2 PM at Manchester Cemetery.
Mrs. DeWolfe was the daughter of the late Steven and Opal Davis Rowland.
Betty worked as a sewer at PCA for many years. She was an artist and
enjoyed painting and drawing. She also enjoyed making quilts. She enjoyed
watching horror movies and her favorite TV show was “The Walking Dead”. Her
favorite times were spent with her youngest grandson, Kael and her poodle,
Ginger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Richard
and William Rowland and sister, Dorothy Coblentz.
She is survived by sons, Steven Jones of Shelbyville and John Jones of
McMinnville; daughters, Rita Dunn (Jeff) of Manchester, Elizabeth Ferrell
(Brad) of Mulberry and Sandy McCall of Manchester; six grandchildren and
six great grandchildren.

Mrs. Alta Rogalle West Taylor, 94, of
Manchester,TN passed away Wednesday October 30, 2019 at Horizon Healthcare
in Manchester, Tennessee. She was born October 3, 1925 to Green and Rilda
Taylor Rogalle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by
brothers John Rogalle, King Rogalle; sister Josie Crawley; and
granddaughter Penny West Lee.
She was a member of Red Hill Church of Christ. For many years, she was
employed by Tennessee Apparel in Tullahoma, TN

She is survived by her daughter Gail Arnold (Donny) of Manchester; son
Ronnie West and Edna of Beech Grove; sister Virginia Bridges of Manchester;
grandchildren Angela Eldridge (David) of Manchester, Tracy Lannom (Glenn)
of Murfreesboro, Mark West (Belinda) of Manchester, and Beau Arnold
(Brandi) of Chattanooga; 7 great-grand-children and 4 great great
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday November 2, 2019 with Brother
Ralph Hart officiating. Burial will be in the Summittville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00- 8:00 Friday at Central Funeral Home.
10/30/19 — James Aaron Eslick
James Aaron Eslick of Tullahoma passed this life on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at NHC Tullahoma at the age of 81. Mr. Eslick was born July 30, 1938 in Winchester, TN to the late Homer Eslick, Sr. and Annie Maude Stovall Eslick. In 1957 he graduated from Tullahoma High School, and he served in the National Guard for five years. He worked as a cement mason with Raymond Wells Construction for many years, and later worked as an outside machinist at AEDC until his retirement. Throughout his life, Aaron was an avid Tennessee football fan, and also liked working in his yard. In his later years, he enjoyed working out with friends at Planet Fitness, keeping up with family and friends on Facebook, and spending hours working jigsaw puzzles. He was affectionately known as “Unc” to all of his nieces and nephews, and was known for calling each one to sing his best rendition (or worse, depending on one’s perspective) of “Happy Birthday” on their special day. He was also the giver of the very best hugs. He was a member of the Wilson Avenue church of Christ, and faithfully served God all of his life. Mr. Eslick is preceded in death by both of his parents, and his beloved cat, Precious. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Jeanette Wall Eslick of Tullahoma; one brother, Homer Eslick, Jr. and his wife Regina of Tullahoma; five nieces and nephews, Jerry Wayne Eslick of Tullahoma, Vickie Lynn Eslick of Tullahoma, Connie Brown and her husband Frank of Tullahoma, Lisa Bigham and her husband Terry of Tullahoma; and Chris Broadrick and his wife Janet of Murfreesboro; four great-nieces and nephews, Jessica Broadrick of Jacksonville, FL, Chelsea Sudberry and her husband Josh of Brentwood, Andrea Bigham of Nashville, and Derrick Bigham and his wife Samantha of Chicago, IL; and three great-great-nephews, Jack, Charlie, and James Sudberry. Visitation for Mr. Eslick will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Davis officiating. A private family burial will follow with Frank Brown, Bryan Brown, Josh Sudberry, Chris Broadrick, Terry Bigham, and Derrick Bigham serving as pallbearers. Alton Molder, G.W. Owens, Peter Traversa, James Griggs, Joe Waller, Kent Erving, Bill Parker, and Raymond Banks will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family expresses their special thanks for the wonderful help, care, and kindness given by Hospice Compassus, Home Instead of Tullahoma, and the staff of NHC. 10/28/19 — Glyndon K. Purcell
Glyndon K. Purcell of Huntsville, AL, passed this life on Thursday, October
24th, 2019 at Huntsville Regency Assisted Living, at the age of 84.
Graveside services are scheduled at Maplewood Cemetery in Tullahoma on
Monday, October 28th, 2019 at11:00 AM.
Mrs. Purcell, a native of Tullahoma, was the daughter of the late Jessie
and Willie Lawson Kennedy. She was a member of Chase Church of Christ and
retired from NASA after 29 years of faithful service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her baby brother,
Ray Kennedy.
Mrs. Purcell is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband,
Andy D. Purcell; two sons, Neal Purcell (Chrissie) and Barry Purcell; one
sister Audrey Kennedy of Nashville; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Scott
Purcell.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to be made
in her honor to the Grundy Street Church of Christ.
