11/18/19 — Lauren Meagan Burns

Lauren Meagan Burns of Belvidere passed this life on Monday, November 18,
2019, at the age of 28.  Private family services are scheduled.

Lauren was born in Chattanooga, TN on August 5, 1991.  She loved music and
animals.  She also loved fashion and enjoyed dressing up, applying makeup
and wearing jewelry.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Thomas Burns and Katie McWhorter
Burns and Dorothy Murphy (Gene) and Bill Thomison and uncles, Anthony Burns
and Ricky Thomison.

She is survived by her parents, Ed and Teresa Thomison Burns of Belvidere;
aunts, Lynda Hasty, Rose Hasty (Dale) and Margaret Gold (Barry) and uncles,
Joe Burns (Sheila) and Steve Thomison (Dionna).

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to be made
in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place,
Memphis, TN  38105-9959.

11/20/19 — David Lawrence Keith

David Lawrence Keith was born September 20, 1934 in Jackson County, TN to Luther and Edith Keith (Hall).  He passed away from this life at River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN on November 17, 2019 at the age of 85.  He was a member of the Morrison Church of Christ.  David was preceded in death by his parents, sister Frances and brothers Donald, Bobby, and Larry.

David married Ellen Johnson of Morrison, TN on May 24, 1952.  To this union was born a son David Dwight Keith and granddaughter Gracie Mae Keith.

David and Ellen moved to Ohio in 1954 and worked for Teledyne Monarch Rubber Company for thirty-five years before retiring and moving back to the Fountain Grove community in 1990.

David was hard working, dependable and generous.  He was a friend to many, a strong supportive father and a loving dedicated husband for sixty-seven years.  He will be dearly missed.

11/20/19 — Octavia Fay Galligan

Funeral services for Octavia Fay Galligan, age 78, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Manchester Funeral Home with Jonathan Jones and Vann Darden officiating. Burial will follow in Ragsdale Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Galligan passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Manchester Healthcare.

Octavia was born in Manchester, TN, the daughter of the late Ira and Nannie Decker Vann. She retired from Coffee County Nursing Home, where she was a CNA and was a member of Bushy Branch House of Prayer. She enjoyed taking care of children, loved flowers, her church and God.

In addition to her parents, Octavia was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Dan Galligan; five brothers, L.H. Hendrix, Talmage, Thurman, Buell, and Ira Vann, Jr.; three sisters, Willa Dean Adams, Mary Cornelison, and Ella Pearl Newlin. She is survived by one daughter, Yvonne (Fred) Pratt; two sisters, Evangeline Floyd and Carylon Jones; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Angela) Walker, Octavia Caldwell, Billy (Jennifer) Pratt and Jacinda Pratt (Tina Poore); seven great grandchildren, Brent Walker, Dana (Terrell) Caldwell, Dakota (Elizabeth) Caldwell, Dinah Caldwell, Cheyenne Pratt, Tylar Pratt, and Makayla Pratt; three great, great grandchildren, Dorian and Trinity Mobley, and Lincoln Caldwell, and two more on the way; many nieces and nephews and extended family.

11/16/19 — Evelyn Tate

Evelyn Tate of Manchester passed this life on Saturday, November 16, 2019,
at the age of 74.  No services are scheduled.

Evelyn, a native of Grundy County, was the daughter of the late Lloyd and
Eudora Smart Tate.  She enjoyed reading and cooking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters, Yolanda
Jo and Edie Crystal Northcutt; brothers, J W and Glen Daniels and George,
Carl and Jack Tate and sister, Juanita Smart.

She is survived by daughter, Constance Northcutt of Manchester; son, Joseph
Clay Northcutt of Manchester; sisters, Rose Crawford and Lola Hardy, both
of Manchester and Nancy Dyer (Jim) of Coalmont; eleven grandchildren and
ten great grandchildren.

11/21/19 — Rex Sidney Carter

Carter, Rex Sidney, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at his home at the age of 80. Mr. Carter was born to the late Sidney and Oma Mae Towry Carter. During his life, he worked as a self-employed carpenter and was a member of West End Baptist Church where he had been a deacon for 36 years. Mr. Carter also loved gardening and working with his flowers, and also camping with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Max Carter; and one sister, Mary Ella Ghea. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Carter; three daughters, Sheila Burns (Joe), Selina Todd (Randall), and Delayne Holt (Tim Perry); one sister, Nelda Underwood; two brothers, Eddie Carter (Brenda), and Gerron Carter (Ruthie); grandchildren, Joey Burns (Lacey), Brian Burns (Megan), Justin Todd (Sheena), Ashley Taylor (Will), and Mollie Tankersley (Alex); and great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Sofia, Levi, Jade, and Kiley. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20th, 2019 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, November 21st, 2019 at 1:00pm at West End Baptist Church in Tullahoma with Pastor Dale Grosch officiating. 11/19/19 — Shannon Lee Moore

Moore, Shannon Lee, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, November 15th, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 70. Mr. Moore was born in Shelbyville to the late Birthel and Annie Lee Grammer Moore. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Ear and went on to work as a maintenance supervisor with the Tullahoma Housing Authority. Mr. Moore was also a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by one daughter, Lori Moore. He is survived by his wife, Patty Moore; three sons, Chris, Chad, and David Moore; and one brother, Ray Moore and his wife Virginia. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 19th, 2019 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 4:00-6:00pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 6:00pm with Rev. Tim McGehee officiating. 11/19/19 — Nellie Marie Campbell Winton

Winton, Nellie Marie Campbell, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at NHC at the age of 85. Mrs. Winton was born in Huntland, Tennessee to the late Jonas and Eva White Campbell. She attended and was baptized at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Hillsboro and also loved flowers and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Avis Winton; three brothers, Wendell, Lester and Joe Horace Campbell; and one sister, Marvleen Simmons. Mrs. Winton is survived by two daughters, Alesia Snell and her husband Greg of Tullahoma; Jennifer Sipe and her husband Jonathan of Manchester; one grandson, Kyle Snell of Tullahoma; four sisters, Kathleen Lawson of Tullahoma, Sarah Ann Good of Pulaski, Wisconsin, Juanita Campbell of Manchester, and Ruth Mankin of Manchester; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th, 2019 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 19th, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Hubert Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. 11/21/19 — Gloria Jean Collins

Mrs. Gloria Jean Collins, age 64, passed away on
Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Murfreesboro, TN
after an extended illness. She was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois on
July 10, 1955 to Donald Eugene McCracken and Dolores Elkins McCracken who
preceded her in death along with her sisters, Susan Wilson and Barbara
Lofton and brother, Wayne McCracken.

Mrs. Collins was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints in Tullahoma, TN.

She is survived by her husband, Boyde Neal Collins; daughters, Theresa Lynn
Cooper and husband, John, Monica Marie Barber, and Jamie Renee Weathers and
husband, Michael; step-daughter, Melissa Askins; sister, Donna Alexander;
brothers, Don Goree and wife, Coleen, and Kevin Goree, and wife Lynn; four
grandchildren, Erica Barber, Aiden O’Neil, Ethan Weathers, and Jon Askins;
several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2019, in the
Central Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joel Davenport officiating. Burial
will follow in the Cherry Cemetery in Woodbury, TN. Visitation with the
family will be held on Wednesday, November 20 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at
Central Funeral Home in Manchester.

11/17/19 — Judge Timothy Ray Brock

Judge Timothy Ray Brock, 62, of Tullahoma, TN, passed away unexpectedly on
Monday, November 11, 2019 while attending a Judicial conference in Nevada.
Having served on the bench for nearly three decades, Judge Brock was first
elected as a General Sessions Judge in 1990 and added Juvenile Court
jurisdiction to his duties in 1998. A native of Franklin County, TN, he
graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1979 and earned his law
degree from the University of Tennessee in 1982. Judge Brock served on the
executive committee of the Tennessee  Council of Juvenile and Family Court
Judges for many years, and in 2017 was awarded the McCain-Abernathy Award
for his exceptional service in advancing juvenile justice.

Judge Brock has presided over the Coffee County Drug Recovery Court, Coffee
County Mental Health Court, Coffee County Juvenile Recovery Court, and the
Coffee County Safe Baby Court. The Family Treatment Court, which held its
first graduation earlier this month, is the first and only one in the state
of Tennessee. Judge Brock’s tireless work within the area of recovery has
paved the way for a more rehabilitative system of justice across the state
of Tennessee.

Judge Brock was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Ray and Virginia
McKown Brock, and his nephew, Craig McKown Brock. He is survived by three
children; sons Adam Brock (Lauren) of Chattanooga, Matthew Brock (Jill) of
Spring Hill, TN, and daughter Sarah Kathryn (Katye) Bodak (Jason) of
Knoxville; brother Edward Brock (Sherry) of Cowan, TN, sisters Ruth Brock
Gardner of Louisville, KY, and Kathleen Brock Huntsberry (Charles) of
Gallatin, TN; his two beloved granddaughters Talia and Josephine Brock of
Spring Hill, TN; Donna Bryant Brock of Tullahoma, mother of his children,
and sweetheart partner, Mary Mealer of Tullahoma.

A lifelong supporter of his alma mater, Judge Brock was a long-time season
ticket holder for the University of Tennessee football and basketball
programs. He was an avid reader with a passion for history, but nothing
made him happier than traveling with his children and grandchildren,
especially to Disney World.

Pallbearers will be Edward Brock, Steven Foreman, Phil Barnes, Bob McCall,
Roger Bean, the Honorable Jere Ledsinger, Stanley Bean, Clint Mealer, and
Frank Brock. Honorary pallbearers will be graduates of the Coffee County
Recovery Courts.

Visitation with the family will be at Central Funeral Home in Manchester,
TN Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 2:00-6:00pm, and a celebration of Judge
Brock’s life will be held at the Cowan Fellowship Church in Cowan, TN on
Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 2:00pm. The service will be officiated by Mike
Lewis with burial in the Cowan Montgomery Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the

11/14/19 — Bruce Lee Thompson

Bruce Lee Thompson of Manchester, passed this life on Friday, November 8,
2019 at Erlanger Hospital at the age of 24. Funeral Services are scheduled
for Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home
with burial to follow at Manchester City Cemetery.  The family will receive
friends beginning at 11 AM.

Bruce was born in Tullahoma, the son of Jimmy Thompson of Manchester and
the late Martha Catchings Thompson. He enjoyed listening to music and
reading.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by grandfather, James
Thompson and grandparents, Nancy Morris and George Catchings.

Bruce is survived by his father, Jimmy Thompson of Manchester; grandmother,
Ina Thompson of Manchester; brothers, Aaron Lee Catchings and his fiancé’,
Sarah Forsyth of Beersheba and Matthew Raymond Mulican of Manchester;
sisters, Shimber Thompson of Manchester, Ashley Trimue and her husband,
Jesse of Nashville and Brittany Mulican of Manchester; nephews, River,
Jesse, Ethan, Kaleb, Cason, Chase, Caden and Howard and niece, Izabella..
