12/19/19 — Annarene Mangrum Beckman
Mrs. Annarene Mangrum Beckman, 97 passed away Monday
December 16, 2019 at McArthur Manor. She was born in Coffee County to the
late James W. and Annie Jordon Mangrum. She is preceded in death by her
husband Ralph Milton Beckman and son James Milton Beckman; sister Ruth
Hudgens; and brother Alton Mangrum.
She is survived by her daughter Emily Turner of Hillsboro, TN; Sister
Virginia Offord (Tullahoma); Sister-in-law Elizabeth Jobe (Lewisburg, TN);
Grandchildren James Christopher Beckman (Natalie), Melinda Mallette (Jack),
Keith Wilson Beckman(Shannon), Heather Jude (Hiram), Amy Morgan(Lester),
and Mark Turner (Autumn); and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday December 19, 2019 from 11:00 to 1:00 PM
with services to follow in the Central Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be
at Hillcrest Cemetery in Shelbyville, TN.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude’s
Children’s Hospital or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
12/13/19– Robert Christopher Russell
Robert Christopher Russell of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday,
December 13, 2019 at his residence, at the age of 83. No services are
scheduled.
Mr. Russell was a native of Gravel Switch, Ky. He enjoyed reading,
fishing, boating, camping and visiting state parks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Christopher
Russell; brother, William Russell and sister, Minerva Russell.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Russell of Tullahoma; son, Jeffery
Russell; daughter, Jennifer Russell of Bloomington, IL and eight
grandchildren.

12/18/19 — Jessie Roy Bush
Funeral services for Mr. Jessie Roy Bush, age 88, of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Fredonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at the funeral home. Mr. Bush passed from this life on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at McArthur Manor in Manchester, TN.

Roy was born in Manchester, TN to the late Will and Ruby Bush. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Roy was a member of New Union Church of Christ where he served as an Elder for many years. He was an educator in the school system for over 30 years, with 23 years as the Westwood Elementary School principal. Roy loved fishing when he was younger, gardening, bird watching, and traveling. Family was very important to Roy. He was a very loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Roy is also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Mike Lillis; six brothers, Flavy, Clayton, Cornie, Dewey, Lloyd, and Dudley Bush; three sisters, Chestel Lafever, Lura Dell Fagan, and Tessie Joy Sherrill. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Wilma Bush; one son, David Bush (LeeAnn); one daughter, JoAnne Sorrell (Jim) chosen family member Dwayne Fulks (Glenna); eight grandchildren, Kirsten Bush, Landon Bush (Rachel), Kevin Lillis, Chelsea Bush (fiancé Logan Ison), Erin Eudaly (Stewart), Andrew Fulks, Parker Bush (Devan), and Shelly Fulks; four great-grandchildren, Kendall Bush, Hali Bush, Patrick Eudaly, and Shae Bush.

12/22/19 — Patricia (Patti) Faye Clemens
Patricia (Patti) Faye Clemens, born Patricia Faye Wolford, May 21, 1930 in
Columbus Ohio. Deceased Sunday, December 15, 2019, aged 89 in Tullahoma.
Patti began work as an accountant in her father’s wallpaper shop in
downtown Columbus when she was still a teenager. She moved from Columbus to
Tullahoma ca. 1952 to accompany her husband, Pat Clemens, as he began a
career at the AEDC. Though a transplant, she loved the Tullahoma area and
called it home, designing the family home, competing frequently in local
sailing events, and working as school psychologist in Grundy and Bedford
Counties. She was an avid artist, working in many media, and actively
supporting the Tullahoma Art Center.
Education and Accomplishments:
1. College studies at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio;
2. Bachelor of Arts from MTSU;
3. Master of Arts from MTSU;
4. Licensed Psychological Examiner in the State of Tennessee;
5. Member, National Association of School Psychologists;
6. Past President, Tullahoma League of Women Voters;
7. Coffee County Commissioner (1978);
8. Member, Friends of Short Springs;
9. Co-authored with husband, Pat, the book, *Gnus, Gnomes, and Gnats*;
10. Member, Not Yet Dead Poet’s Society.
Survived by brother Kermit Wolford, nephew Todd Wolford, niece Deana
Wolford, sister-in-law Cathy Wolford, son Dan Clemens, daughter-in-law
Bai-Yu Clemens, son Matt Clemens, daughter-in-law Laura Bolte, and grandson
Joshua Clemens.
Visitation to be held Sunday, December 22, 2019, 1:00 pm at First Christian
Church, 201 NW Atlantic St., Tullahoma, Tennessee. A memorial service will
be held at the same location beginning at 2:00pm.

12/21/19– Joan “Andrea” Petersen
Funeral services for Mrs. Joan “Andrea” Petersen, age 79, of Manchester, will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church with Father Klasek officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 20, 2019. Mrs. Petersen passed from this life on Friday, December 13, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Andrea was born in Newark, NJ, on January 4, 1940, to the late Andrew and Josephine Walsh. Before her retirement, Andrea was a beloved English teacher for 25 years at St. Paul the Apostle School. Andrea adored her family, enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for everyone who could attend, and baking cookies for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching mystery shows, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family. Andrea was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Andrea is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert Petersen, Sr.; three brothers, Richard, Andrew, and Daniel Walsh. She is survived by two sons, Erik (Kelley) Petersen and Rob Petersen; three daughters, Kristel Gainor (Rich), Amaryl Morie (Scott), and Andrea Ritchie (Dennis); eighteen grandchildren, Richard Gainor (Catherine), Austin Gainor (Rose), Victoria Gainor Linck (Anthony), Erik Petersen, II (Erica), Jacqueline Petersen Womack, Anna Petersen (Brennon Watson), Derek Walker, Corey Walker, Kristin Carr (Russell), Bridget Isenberg (Matt Rhodes), Erica Morie Veech (Trevor), Jerry Morie, Ian Morie, Amaryl Petersen (Jarl Pedigo), Morgan Ritchie, Brooke Ritchie, Erika Ritchie, Jessica Ritchie; seven great-grandchildren, Tyson Coons, Lucas Gainor, Julian Linck, Torrey Anderson, Charlotte Petersen, Aurora Petersen, and Henry Veech.

John (J T) Thomas Carter, of Manchester, passed this life on Thursday,
December 12, 2019 at the Manchester Health Care Center at the age of 88. No
services are scheduled.
J T, a native of Franklin, KY, was the son of the late Edward and Pearl
Miller Carter. He was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He loved
music and could play almost any instrument. He especially loved country
music and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed singing and writing songs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47
years, Antina F. Carter and sister, Marie Wiser.
He is survived by sons, Scott Carter (Lora) of Irvington, KY and George
Bourque of Youngstown, FL; daughters, Holly Sweeney (Mike) of Loudon, NH,
Lori Ann Hanncock of Tampa, FL, Cami Mastors (Bob) of Indian Shores Beach,
FL, Stephanie Nizer (Ray) of Tampa, FL and Karen Pingeton (Jamy) of Tampa,

12/18/19 — Lt. Col. Robert Lee Swindell III
Retired Lt. Col. Robert Lee Swindell III, 66,
passed away unexpectedly Thursday December 12, 2019 at Unity Medical Center
in Manchester. He was born in Sparta, Tennessee on October 11, 1953 to
Robert L. Swindell II and Wanda Lamb Swindell who preceded him in death.

He was retired from the US Army after 41 years of service. He served in
Vietnam, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Noble Eagle. He was a
member of the VFW, American Legion, Coffee County Veterans Association. He
was president of the Southeast Asia Army Security Agency.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Carol Swann Swindell; step-daughters,
Heather Barnett Pinkard (Chuck Bynum) and Ashley Barnett; step-son, James
(Doris) Barnett; sister, Dana Carter, Sparta; brothers, Eric and Terry
Swindell, Sparta; granddaughter, Gracelyn Pinkard; several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Central Funeral Home
Chapel with burial to follow in the Summitville Cemetery with full military

12/21/19 — Minnie Margaret Cubit
Minnie Margaret Cubit, 80, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on December 11 2019.
She was born to parents Vernon Wheeler Jr and Ivy Cleo Wheeler, on May 30 1939 in Mazon, Illinois.
Minnie worked as a shipping and receiving clerk at Rochester Midland. After 41 years of service, she retired in1994.
She enjoyed roller skating, crafts, shopping, gardening, and had received many awards for bowling.
Minnie met John Cubit in 1981. They were married on August 1, 1992 in Aurora, Illinois.
Minnie is survived by her husband John Cubit of Manchester TN, daughter and son-in-law Angie & Curt Jones of Earlville IL, daughter Vickie Idoux-Walz of Gainesville GA, stepsons John Cubit of Pensacola FL and Steve Cubit of Winchester KY, stepdaughter Chris Culhono of Los Angeles CA, brother Al Wheeler of Oswego IL, sister Nyla Hartman of Montgomery IL, brother John Wheeler of Manchester TN , sister Susie Paxton of Aurora IL, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. .
She was preceded in death by her father Vernon Wheeler Jr, mother Ivy Cleo, brother Tommy Wheeler, nephews Eddie and Ronnie Hartman.
The family has entrusted Daves-Culbertson with the arrangements. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for December 21, 2019 2pm at 401 North Jackson St. Tullahoma, TN 37388. A reception will follow at Praters BBQ Manchester, 620 Woodbury Hwy Manchester, Tennessee.

Mr. Roy Howard Fulton, 77, passed away Saturday
December 14, 2019 at the Life Care Center of Tullahoma. He was born in
Normandy, Tennessee on October 16, 1942 to Clarence Lee Fulton and Sally
Nell Rust Fulton who preceded him in death along with his daughter Kimberly
Fulton; sisters, Mary Tucker, Bobbie Fairchild and Betty Pruitt; infant
siblings, Ruby Hazel and Johnny Fulton.

He is survived by his sons, Jerome Fulton, McMinnville and Josh Fulton,
Tullahoma; daughters, Sonya Brown, Tullahoma, Marcie Cantrell, Tullahoma,
Amber Fulton, Tullahoma and Katy Bonner, Estill Springs; brothers, Thomas
Fulton, Centerline, Michigan and Kenneth Fulton, Centerline, Michigan;
sisters, Patricia Hack, Port Huron, Michigan, Delilah Wuestewald, Montana
and Diane Nihranz, Roseville, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; 6 great
grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
At his request he was cremated and no services will be held.

Betty Jean Carter, of Manchester, passed this life on Thursday, December
12, 2019 at his residence at the age of 77. Funeral Services are scheduled
for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home
with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will
receive friends on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home from 5 – 8 PM.
Betty, a native of Rutherford County, was the daughter of the late Carson
and Mattie Bell Joyce Epperson. She loved her family and being with her
kids and grandkids. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She also enjoyed
attending Dirt Track Races.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Mark
Fletcher; brothers, Bill, Jim, Lee, and Milton Epperson and sister, Louise
Neeley.
She is survived by husband, Richard Carter of Manchester; sons, Michael
Carter (Linda) of Huntland and Richie Carter (Melissa) of Hillsboro;
daughter, Rebecca Neeley (Terry) of Manchester; sister, Dorothy Smith of
Shelbyville; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
