2/21/20– John Derrick Bryan

Mr. John Derrick Bryan, 39, passed away unexpectedly Monday February 17, 2020 in Clarksville, Tennessee where he was residing for his job.  He was born in Manchester, Tennessee on April 21, 1980.

He was a project manager for Dill Contracting and a member of the Campus
Community Church in Manchester.  He served as treasurer for Serenity’s Bike
Ministry, an avid supporter of the Be the Bush Ministry, Jehovah Java,
along with many other organizations he enjoyed.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arnel and Imogene Lance, Jim
and Era Bryan.

He is survived by his daughter, Olivia Claire Bryan; parents, Dwight and
Debbie Lance Bryan; sister, Amber Bryan Jones; nephew, Parker Bryan Jones;
several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the Central Funeral Home Chapel
with Ministers, Paul Smith and Darren Holmes officiating with burial to
follow in the Fredonia Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday at

2/20/20– Michael Eugene Higdon

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Eugene Higdon, age 63, of Douglasville, GA, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Manchester Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Higdon passed away on February 15, 2020 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, GA.

Michael was born in Oak Ridge, TN, the son of the late Ralph and Earline Higdon. Mike enjoyed bowling, Braves baseball, UT Vols football, and spending time with friends and family, especially his granddaughter, Violet Sunnie Melara.

In addition to his parents, Mike was also preceded by a son, Sonny Lee Higdon. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Higdon; one daughter, Misti Higdon (Mat) Melara; one granddaughter, Violet Sunnie Melara; one brother, Richard (Jane) Higdon, Jr.; three sisters, Wanda Higdon, Patricia (Hal) Sullivan, and Connie (“Jr.”) Carr; his mother-in-law, Willie Overcast; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and numerous family and friends.

Rose Marie Zyllo Smith

Rose Marie Zyllo Smith, 84 passed away Tuesday, February 18,
2020 at her home. Mrs. Smith was a native of Minnesota and enjoyed
quilting. She was preceded in death by her son Phillip Bell.

She is survived by her sons Robert Bell and Greg Bell of Manchester;
daughters Margaret Heithoff and Teresa Toothman of Iowa; 9 grandchildren;
and several great-grandchildren.

2/17/20– Matthew J Savage

Matthew J Savage of Manchester, TN, passed this life on Monday, February
17, 2020 at Horizon Rehab of Manchester at the age of 70. No services are
scheduled at this time.

Mr. Savage, a native of Hastings, MI, was the son of the late Harold and
Dorothy Savage. He enjoyed reading his Bible.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Mike
Savage.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Savage of Manchester and son, Matthew
Savage of Knoxville.

2/20/20– Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Clark

Funeral services for Mr. Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Clark, age 67 of Pelham, will be conducted on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Dr. Brenton Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Pelham Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Clark passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Jerry was born on June 18, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Riley and Lorraine Clark. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Manchester. Jerry enjoyed farming, gardening and attending tractor pulls. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Clark; grandson, Hunter Northcutt. Survived by his son, Adam Clark (Hollyn); daughters, Diana Boyett, Janice Gipson; sisters, Marsha Twitty (Jim), Sherrie Hunke (Dave); grandchildren, Tori Northcutt, Madison Gipson, Adalyn and Landon Clark; numerous nieces and nephews.

James Neil Gore Sr

James Neil Gore Sr, 83, peacefully passed this life at his home
Sunday, February 16, 2020. A graduate of Tennessee Tech University in
Cookeville, TN, Mr. Gore was a mechanical engineer who retired from AEDC.
He served as an Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Manchester where he
was a member since 1962. He was an avid UT football fan and a member of
several local civic organizations.  He enjoyed the arts, ham radio,
photography, and stained glass. He was widely known for his pen and ink
artwork. Mr. Gore was preceded in death by his parents James and Addie
Thompson Gore and sister Donna Gore (Reeves) Turney. He is survived by his
wife Marjorie Haden Gore; sons James N. Gore Jr. (Susan) of Knoxville, and
Warren Haden Gore of Manchester; daughter Laura Gore Jent of Tullahoma;
grandchildren James Neil Gore III (Emily) of Atlanta, Elizabeth Smith Gore
and Thomas Haden Gore of Knoxville, Madison Jent Cantrell (Mykel) of
Manchester, and Allison Mariah Jent of Tullahoma; great grandson, August
Mykel Cantrell; nephews Steven Gore Turney (Angie) of Murfreesboro and
Richard Reeves Turney of Manchester. A private Memorial Service will be
held with the family at a later date. Central Funeral Home in charge of

2/15/20– Herman Karl Rader

Herman Karl Rader of Tullahoma, TN, passed this life on Saturday, February
15, 2020 at NHC of Tullahoma at the age of 93. No services are scheduled at
this time.

Herman, a native of BadDurheim, Germany, was the son of the late Hans and
Lucia Metzger Rader. Mr. Rader enjoyed playing golf and chess. He was an
outdoorsman and enjoyed kayaking, bicycling and swimming. He was a “seeker
of knowledge” and enjoyed tinkering.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois
Rader; brother, Karl Rader and sister, Inge Bauer.

Mr. Rader is survived by daughters, Rhea Raeder of San Diego and Renee
Evans (Mark) of Wartrace; daughters thru marriage, Vicki Welch (Jim) of
Hemet, CA and Sharon Jenda of Portland, OR; brother, Hans Rader (Hannalore)
of England; four grandchildren, Caty Dorsett, Matthew Evans, Taryn Raeder
and Mara Welch and several great grandchildren.

2/19/20– Lorene Harrell Rackley

Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Harrell Rackley, age 72, of Morrison, TN, will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Summitville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Rackley passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at her residence.

Lorene was born in Manchester, TN, the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie Brown Harrell. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Lorene was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Rackley; 3 sisters, Della Cooper, Lou Vandergriff, and Elizabeth Kennedy; 3 brothers, Bud Harrell, Clifton Harrell, and Charlie Harrell. She is survived by her children, Teresa (Mike) Perry, Elaine (Harry) McCormick, Tim (Susie) Rackley, and Jennifer (Miguel) Rangel; 3 brothers, John Harrell, T.C. Harrell, and James Harrell; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special companion and friend, Clifford Ward.

2/15/20– John D. Sullivan Sr.

John D. Sullivan Sr., age 64, of Tullahoma,TN., passed this life on
Saturday, February 15, 2020. No services are scheduled at this time.

John was born on April 13, 1955, to the late Victor Sullivan, Sr. and the
late Dorothy Ladema Sullivan of Little Rock, AK. He was a retired high
school English teacher, who enjoyed learning, reading, watching movies and
spending time with his grandchildren. His motto in life was, ”If you aren’t
 Learning, you aren’t Living.”

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Gabe
Sullivan and brother, Tommy Sullivan.

John is survived by one son- John (Lindsey) Sullivan, Jr. of Tullahoma,
TN., one daughter- Rachel (Michael) Philpott of Decherd, TN., one step son-
Jason Kent, of Winchester, TN., one step daughter- Jennifer (Jeremy) Moss
of Cleveland, TN., one sister -Maya Moore, of California and nine
grandchildren.

2/18/20 — Mr. Eddie Dean Smith

Mr. Eddie Dean Smith passed this life unexpectantly Thursday night with his loving wife Melissa at his side in their home in Tullahoma. Mr. Smith was born in Columbia, TN to the late Jimmy B. Smith and Mrs. Joyce Mitchell Smith of Tullahoma. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Melissa F. Smith; four daughters, S. Shannon Codner (Jason) (Portland, OR), Whitney D. Smith (Ava-Grandpup) (Nashville), Kelsey L. Smith (Gallatin), and Emme M. Smith (Lexington, TN); one sister, Sherry L. Finley (Jim) (Normandy); grandchildren, Kian Codner, Alivia Smith and Shelby Bearden; life-long best friend, Mr. Dean Hanger (Winchester); and his two beloved dogs, Bleu and Roo. Eddie grew up in Tullahoma, playing football at Tullahoma High and later attended The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  His career began as a pressman at Copies Unlimited and later as owner of Smith Graphic Machinery dealing in international sales of printing presses. Mr. Smith was a member of the Tullahoma Downtown Lions Club where he was the immediate past president and participated in the club’s child eye testing program. He also read twice weekly to 5-year-olds at local elementary schools and volunteered as a school-crossing guard. He was a member of the Middle Tennessee Corvette Club and was easily recognized in his yellow Corvette and favorite orange UT clothing. Eddie and Melissa have been faithful members of Little Hurricane Baptist Church for several years. Like most Tennessee men, Eddie’s favorite avocations were football and fishing–He lived in a “house divided”: He-UT and She-Auburn. His favorite fishing buddies were his grandkids. Visitation for Mr. Smith will be held on Monday, February 17th, 2020 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 18th, 2020 at 1:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with his pastor The Reverend Darrell Cantrell, The Reverend Jack Lambert, and The Reverend Dr. Jim Finley Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers for those who wish, donations may be made to the Tullahoma Downtown Lions Club, P.O.
