8/22/18 — Wayne H. Butler

WAYNE H. BUTLER, age 77, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at STRHS Winchester, Tenn. Mr. Butler was born in Griffin, Ga. on July 30, 1941, to the late, Johnny Edward Butler and Larue Crawford Butler. Mr. Butler last attended the Estill Springs Church of God. He began his career in the U.S. Air Force at the age of 21 and served our Country during the Vietnam War and retired as a SMSGT after 27 years of service. After relocating to Tenn. Mr. Butler served for 25 years as the Public Information Officer for the Estill Springs Fire Dept. He was also a member of the Estill Springs Lions Club. His hobbies were bowling, fishing and gardening.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Butler Ogletree. He is survived by his wife, Anna Butler of Estill Springs, daughters; Anna Marie Butler of Murfreesboro, Cyndi Butler-Mobley and husband Larry of Hixson, Tenn., Toni Click and husband Ron of Manchester, son, Greg Butler and wife, Tanya of Bossier City, Louisiana, brother, Eddie Butler and wife, Ruby of Griffin, Ga., 4-grandchildren; Dennis Jacobs and wife, Megan of Sewanee, Carla Green and husband Josh of Sewanee, Kevin Stafford-Ramirez and wife, Gabriela of Okinawa, Japan, Aiden Butler of Bossier City, La. 3-great-grandchildren; Carmen, Josie, Violette.

Visitation for Mr. Butler will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, August 21, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 22, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Don Parker, officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with full military honors bestowed.
