Mr. Christopher Dale Matlock, age 43 of Estill Springs, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.
Chris was preceded in death by his PaPa, A.B. Matlock, MaMaw, Wilma Jean Waits-Hershman, and PaPaw, Vance Creek, Senior.
He is survived by his loving wife Tracy J. Matlock, mother, Denise Sue Arnold-Creek of Hillsboro, Tennessee, father, Freeman D. Matlock and stepmother Vickie of Estill Springs, Tennessee, Granny, Mavis Matlock of Hillsboro, Tennessee, three stepdaughters, Stacy Jo Jones and fiancé Travis Tant of Estill Springs, Tennessee, Lacy Jane Rose and husband Josh of Beechgrove, Tennessee, Cynthia Kay Jones of Estill Springs, Tennessee, one sister, Lisa Denise Matlock of Hillsboro, Tennessee, two half-brothers, Devon Dale Matlock and wife Jennifer of Manchester, Tennessee, Joshua Bryan Matlock of Estill Springs, Tennessee, three grandchildren, Preston James Jones, Victoria Arrianna Rose, Hailey Aubrianna Tant, two step grandchildren, Eli Tant, Isabella Tant, mother-in-law, JoAnn Horton of Estill Springs, Tennessee, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Chris enjoyed golfing, gardening, and helping others with construction projects. He was an experienced carpenter and worked in the construction industry for many years. Chris liked history and could invent things and was skillful in numerous ways. He loved helping others in any way they had a need. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services for Mr. Chris Matlock will be conducted on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Greg Spilker and Brother Bill Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Hillsboro, Tennessee.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tennessee.
