Thomas Clark Sr. age 82, formerly of Tullahoma, passed away August 17, 2014 at his home in Nashville.
On September 11, 1931 the late Iverson and Clemmie Clark welcomed to the world Thomas Clark.
Mr. Clark joined the United States Army in 1957. Following his Military service he worked for Foreman, Wright and Lopez Construction Co. for a number of years then spent several years working for Tullahoma High School has the supervisor of custodians. Mr. Clark served as Coffee County Constable and currently was Honorary Deputy Sheriff with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
During his spare time you could find him at the flea market wheeling and dealing.
Mr. Clark was a member of the Tullahoma Church of Jesus.
He will be remembered most of all for the stories he told and being the family jokester.
In addition to his mother and father he is preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Pauline Clark; daughter, Betty Clark; son, Charles Clark and grandson, Cecil Guess.
Mr. Clark is survived by his daughters, Cathy (Randy) Bell, Barbara (Johnny) Mines and Brenda (Steve) Gilliam; sons, Terry (Debbie) Clark, Thomas (Marsha) Clark Jr., Richard (Starla) Clark; Ricky (Kim) Clark and devoted grandson and dedicated caregiver, Phillip Spencer. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mr. Clark will be conducted Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 3 pm from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Watson-North Memorial Park with military honors.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 5-9pm at Watson-North Funeral Home.
