Marvin Leon Roberts, age 88 of Normandy, Tennessee passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012, at Lynchburg Care Center in Lynchburg.He was born September 22, 1923 in New Market, Alabama; the son of the late Martin Patrick and Bertha (Rogers) Roberts.
He was employed by George Dickel Distillery and served his country in the US Air Force during World War II.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Joyce Roberts and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are sons, Chris (Tammy) Roberts of Tullahoma, TN and Martin (Diane) Roberts of Manchester, TN; half-brother, Steve Roberts of Estill Springs, TN, and grandchildren, Haley Roberts of Lynchburg, TN and Patrick Cordell Roberts of Manchester, TN.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Huntland, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave. NW, Winchester.
