Ruby Branch Bratten, age 92, of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, May 6, 2016, at Southern Tenn. Regional Health System Winchester, following an extended illness. Ms. Bratten was born on June 13, 1923, in Winchester to the late Felix and Annie Woosley Branch. She is a member of the Hoover’s Grove Church of Christ in Moore County, Tenn. Before her retirement, Ms. Branch was employed for many years at Lanier Clothing in Decherd and after that at Tyson in Shelbyville. She loved to cook and talk on the telephone. Most of all she was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Bratten was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Bratten, son, Phillip Bratten and granddaughter-in-law, Christy Bratten, great-granddaughter, Ruby Grace Gamble. She is survived by her son, Charles Bratten and his wife, Liz, Grandson, John Phillip Bratten, all of Tullahoma, granddaughters; Jenny Gamble and husband Adam of Murfreesboro, Jennifer Page and husband Troy of Winchester, three great-grandchildren; Sara Bean, Noah Bean and Matthew Gamble. Daughter-in-law, Sharon Darnell and husband, Larry of Tullahoma.
Visitation for Ms. Bratten will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, May 8, in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 9, also in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Ms. Bratten will be laid to rest by her husband, Lemuel at the Franklin Cemetery in Broadview.
