Jack Edward Nail, age 86 of Tullahoma, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at Harton Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2 PM at the Tullahoma 7th Day Adventist Church, 908 Cedar Lane, Tullahoma, TN. officiated by Pastor Nelson Mercado.
A native of Terre Haute, Indiana, he was the son of the late Christopher and Catherine Lucas Nail.
He graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis and began his career as a teacher. After teaching for fifteen years he began working in administration of the 7th Day Adventist Church. Mr. Nail led church youth camps throughout many states and served his church for forty years. He and his wife, Anna Mae relocated to the Tullahoma area in 1991 and served as Associate Pastor for the Tullahoma and Decherd 7th Day Adventist Churches.
While living in Maryland, he was well known for conducting Five Day Plan to stop workshops for people wishing to quit smoking.
Mr. Nail was an avid fan of the Tullahoma High School sports teams, especially basketball, football and track. He enjoyed attending practices and events and getting to know the athletes and coaches.
Mr. Nail is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Anna Mae Nail of Tullahoma; two sons, Ted Nail of Tullahoma and Jonathan Nail of St. Louis, MO; two daughters, Lynda Feldman and her husband, Rick and Jacquelyn Elliott, both of Maryland; six grandchildren, Nathan, Jacinda, Chris, Samantha, Emma and Andrew and one great grandchild, Anaya.
