5/5/12 — Linda Sandvoss

Linda Sandvoss, age 72 of Winchester, passed away at her home Wednesday May 2, 2012.

A native of Huntsville, AL, she had lived in Chicago and Waukegan, IL where she worked a clerical administrator in the manufacturing sector. Upon retirement, she and her husband located to Franklin County be near family and enjoy the beauty of the area.

She was a member of the Riva Lake Baptist Church and enjoyed growing flowers and especially her roses. She also enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, and a spirited game of cards and her animal friends.

She will be remembered as being a very independent woman, quietly competitive and always a good sport, demonstrating the true meaning of sportsmanship.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Sandvoss; son, Jackie Lane, grandson, David Allen Cloclough; brother Coy Wayne Lyle; her mother Velda Banks Lyle and her father, Lloyd Nolin Lyle.

She is survived by her sons, Dwayne (Marge) Colclough of Zion, IL and Victor Shane Colclough of Waukegan, IL; daughter-in-law, Isabel Colclough of Santa Fe, NM; brother, William D. Lyle of Hazel Green, AL; grandchildren, Daniel Owen Colclough, Jessica Lynn Colclough, April Dawn Colclough, Michael Shane Colclough and Jade Colclough; great-grandchildren, Stacy and Seth.

The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Saturday May 5, 2012.

Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Watson-North Memorial Park with friends and family members serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday May 5, 2012 from 1 p.m. until time of service at Watson-North Funeral Home.
