Mrs. Allene C. Roane 92, of Shelbyville passed Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Glen Oaks Nursing Home.
She ws born in Bedford County, Tennessee on October 3, 1919 to the late Mr. Ode Collins and Mrs. Stella Mai Hall Claybourne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Parks (Ruth) and Floyd (Ernestine) Collins, uncle Judge Hubert (Helen) Hall; nephew, Hubert Gentry Hall, niece Melba Hall Mitchell.
She was retired school teacher and a former member of Bedford County Retired Teachers Association.
She leaves to cherish her memories, devoted cousins: Jabbar Buchanan of Murfreesboro, TN, Carolyn (James) Buchanan of Shelbyville, TN, Chris (Ramona) Medearis of Eads, TN, S.L. (Robin) Mitchell of Athens, GA.
Nieces; Brenda Hodge of Shelbyville, TN, Donna Smith of Murfreesboro, TN and Dora Carpenter of Columbia, TN, and a host of nieces, close friend, Mattie Fishback of Shelbyville, TN, other relatives and friends.
Visitation, Friday, April 6, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Bird Street Chruch of Christ.
Funeral Services to follow at 1;00pm at Bird Street Church of Christ with Bro. Anthony Booker, officiating and Bro. Ora Walls as Eulogist.
Interment Willow Mount Cemetery.
