Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Stobaugh, age 75 of Manchester will be conducted Monday, March 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Spirit and Truth Church in Manchester with Dr. David Stobaugh, Deacon Jeff Stobaugh and Pastor Tom Causland officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Monday from 12:00 Noon until time of services at the church.
Mrs. Stobaugh passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after a brief illness.
She was born July 23, 1936 in Elkton, MD the daughter of the late John Horace Jenkins and Laura Arbour Jenkins. She was a devoted homemaker who loved her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Stobaugh and her late husband, Glen D. Stobaugh moved to Manchester in 2006. In earlier years, they lived in Cascade, MT where they converted an old building on their property to a craft shop and for over 10 years enjoyed making crafts of all sorts and traveled in their motor home to mountain craft fairs selling their treasures. Most recently, Barbara enjoyed her church family at Spirit and Truth Church and was known by all as “Grandmom”.
In addition to her parents and husband, Glen, she is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lisa Stobaugh and son Mark Alan Stobaugh.
Survivors include three children, Dr. David Stobaugh and wife, Autumn of Manchester; Jeff Stobaugh and wife, April of Altus, OK and Steven J. Stobaugh and wife, Lori of Loma Rica, CA; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandson on the way. Also surviving is a brother, John Horace Jenkins, III of Old Fort, NC; a step-brother, Donald Goff and step-sister, Joyce Goff both of Maryland and several nieces and nephews.
Coffee County Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
