wintonStella E. Brown Winton, age 68 of Decherd, Tennessee passed away, Monday,
February 1, 2016 at her residence. Funeral Services are scheduled for
Saturday, February 6 at 12 Noon at the New Hope Church of God in Christ,
300 Cowan Street E, Cowan, TN with Pastor Willie E. Bonner officiating.
Burial
will follow at Acklen Memorial Gardens in Decherd, TN. Visitation with the
family will be Saturday from 11 AM until the service time.

A native of Decherd, she was the daughter of the late John L and Lavernia
McFarland Brown. She was a member of the New Hope Church of God in Christ
where she served as an Evangelist. Mrs. Winton loved going to church and
spending time with her family. She was a “kid” at heart and loved
playing
with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had an
infectious love and never meet a stranger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Harold W. Winton; three brothers, John Jr, Paul and Walter Brown and one
sister, Clarice Burks.

Mrs. Winton is survived by three sons, Wayne L. Winton of Detroit, Jeffrey
A. Winton and his wife, Kristi of Woodhaven, MI, and Troy E. Winton of
Decherd; three daughters, Janice Kennerly of Winchester, Sheila D. Hollis
of Tullahoma and Andrea D. Winton of Arizona; ten brothers, Frank Brown and
his wife, Brenda of Decherd, Samuel Brown of Decherd, Warren Brown of
Winchester, C L Brown and his wife, Diane of Manchester, Eugene Brown of
Michigan, Willie Brown and his wife, Ola Mae of Winchester, Bobby Brown of
Decherd, James Brown and his wife, Sheila of Shelbyville, David Brown of
Detroit and Benny Brown and his wife, Louise of Detroit; three sisters,
Verna Mae Bonner and her husband, Willie Lee of Cowan, Rose Mary Beasley
and her husband, Larry of Decherd and Effie Barnett and her husband, Jimmy
of Cowan; sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Fresenius Medical Care of
Winchester for their loving care.
