11/22/14 —- Jerry “Maxine” Lindsay

Jerry “Maxine” Lindsay of Tullahoma, passed this life on Wednesday, November 19th, 2014 surrounded by family at her residence at the age of 84.

Mrs. Lindsay was born in Anniston, Alabama to the late Robert Russell Harris and Nettie Belle (Allen) Harris.

She was a secretary at Bel-Aire Elementary School in Tullahoma for 15 years, after which she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from MTSU and then served as a teacher at Bel-Aire Elementary School until her retirement.  Mrs. Lindsay was a member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma, the Coffee County Teachers Association, the Tennessee State Teachers Association, and the National Education Association.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lindsay is preceded in death by her brother, Brennon Harris; sister, Norma Jean “Buddy” Brown; brother-in-law, Eugene Brown; and niece, Donna Brown.

Mrs. Lindsay is survived by her husband, Earl Lindsay of Tullahoma; three children, Stan Lindsay and his wife Suzanne of Tullahoma, Carol Sanders and her husband Sandy of Tucker, Georgia, and Mark Lindsay of Plainfield, Illinois; three grandchildren, Amber Kolkmeyer and her husband Ryan of Yorkville, Illinois, Aly Lindsay of Plainfield, Illinois, and Taylor Lindsay of Tullahoma; and two great-grandchildren, Addy and Aiden Kolkmeyer of Yorkville, Illinois; her niece, Devery (Brown) Starr of Weaver, Alabama; and great-nephew, Blake Mitchell of Weaver, Alabama.

Visitation for Mrs. Lindsay will be held on Friday, November 21st, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Kilgore Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with PastorMartin Nutter officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
