Mrs. Elsie Augusta Reynolds, age 90, of Tullahoma passed away Saturday at Life Care Center in Tullahoma.
She was born in Coffee, TN to the late Solomon Levi Stone and Sarah Elizabeth Grooms Stone. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert E. Reynolds, two brothers, Ernest Wesley Stone and Charles Lesley Stone, 3 grandsons, Scott Carter, Charles Williams Jr., Chris Williams, great grandson, Jason Baker, two great granddaughters, Ashley and Nichole Carter and one beloved daughter in law Marie Reynolds.
Elsie always believed in God and Family values first. She rode in the very first Horse show parade in Shelbyville, worked at Tennessee Overall Factory in Tullahoma, also worked for General Telephone Electronics in Huntsville, Alabama for 7 years making telephones and South Central Human Services as a homemakers aid. Elsie also sat with the sick and elderly. In her spare time she made clothes and quilts and sold Avon for 30 years. She liked to write poetry, reading fishing and watching birds. Elsie has lived in Memphis, Huntsville, Oak Ridge, Manchester and Tullahoma.
Funeral services for Mrs. Reynolds will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Brazier officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 till 9:00 PM Monday at Tullahoma Funeral Home.
She is survived by five children, Sarah Carter of Tullahoma, Mildred Broadrick of Tullahoma, Alan Reynolds of Tullahoma, Joan Lawson of Tullahoma and Stan Reynolds of Wartrace, 10 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
