Our Lord God, in need of a beautiful angel, called upon Mrs. Helen Lee Goodman, age 86, to join him in Heaven on Thursday, January 1, 2015.
A native of Grundy County and a resident of Horizon Health and Rehab Center in Manchester, she was born the daughter of the late Robert and Mae Willoughby on August 18, 1928.
In earlier years, she was employed by Holiday Inn in Manchester for 20 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Goodman; a daughter, Diane Vaughn; a son, Moses Vaughn and a sister, Betty Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Jo Anderson of McMinnville; three sons, Danny Goodman of Manchester, Jerry Vaughn of Griffin, GA and Jimmy Hughes of California; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
So loved by all who knew her, she will be dearly missed by all.
No services are currently scheduled.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
