Mrs. Martha L. Edmonds Walker, age 92 passed from this life on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 with family by her side at Bailey Manor Assisted Living in Manchester, Tennessee. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Marcus Snodgrass; her husband of forty-two years, Cecil U. Edmonds; her granddaughter, Kimberly Cavendish; her sisters, Qujette and husband Wallace Rush and Ada B. and husband Earl Pearson; and her second husband, Thomas B. Walker. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Cecilia “Petie” and husband James Cavendish, Tracy and husband Donald Patterson; grandchildren, Stephen Patrick and wife Jennifer Cavendish, Jessica Floyd Hertter, and Nathaniel Edmonds Patterson; great grandsons, Jacob and Zachary Hertter; her sister, Maxine and late husband Adolph Pirani; and many nieces and nephews. Martha was a graduate of Earle High School in Earle, Arkansas, a member of the West Memphis, Arkansas Jaycettes, Junior League and The Order of the Eastern Star. Martha had an early career as a real estate broker in Texas. In later years, she was a successful retail manager in fashion and gifts as well as an entrepreneur. Graveside Services for Mrs. Martha L. Walker will be conducted on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
