Mr. Earvin Clarence Green, age 84 of Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse C. and Jimmie A. Frazier Green and one brother Earnest Green.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Thelma J. Vaughn Green, three daughters, Sandra Morgan of Manchester, Tennessee, Patricia Pinegar and husband Wayne of Manchester, Tennessee, Teresa Wright and husband Emmett “Casey” of Manchester, Tennessee, two sons, Ricky Green and wife Helen of Manchester, Tennessee, Mitchel Green and wife Anne of Manchester, Tennessee, two sisters, Lou Smith of Manchester, Tennessee, Mamie Burks of Manchester, Tennessee, fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends also survive.
Mr. Green was a member of the Church of Christ at Noah
for over fifty years. He was retired from the Carrier Corporation after many years of service. Mr. Green was a self-taught carpenter and musician who loved to sing and play old country and Gospel songs. He
enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, coon hunting, helping others as well as playing the
occasional prank on someone every now and then. He had a gift of making folks laugh and a giving heart to help everyone. His faith and his family were his life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him
and loved him.
Funeral Services for Mr. Earvin C. Green will be conducted on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tennessee with Brother Tommy Underwood, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Green and Douglas Cemetery, Coffee County, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tennessee.
