Blanton Kilgore, age 87 of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Grundy County on January 20, 1928 to the late Emmitt and Estie Dickerson Kilgore. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Ruth Kilgore; daughter, Lois Kilgore Poff; sisters, Josephine Nunley, Deloris Mars, and Omie Lee Meeks; brothers, Pate Kilgore and Alfred Kilgore; and granddaughters, Regina Michelle Wilder and Michelle Lynn Wilder. Blanton is survived by daughters, Beatrice Kilgore Wilder of Hillsboro, Valerie Kilgore Prince of Manchester, and Hope Kilgore Gomez of Hillsboro; brothers, Harold Kilgore of McMinnville and Frank Emmitt Kilgore of Altamont; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will follow at Summitville Cemetery in Summitville, Tennessee.
