10/2/12 — Ella “Pearl” Newlin

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella “Pearl” Newlin, age 85 of Manchester will be conducted at 4pm, Tuesday, October 2 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Benny Benjamin, Vann Darden and James LaRue officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ragsdale Cemetery.

Visitation with the Newlin family will be from 5pm until 9pm, Monday at Manchester Funeral Home.

Mrs. Newlin passed away Sunday morning in Manchester surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Newlin was born in Valdosta, Georgia the daughter of the late Ira Vann and Nannie Decker Vann.

She was a caregiver for many families in Coffee County and was a former employee of Tennessee Apparel. Mrs. Newlin was a member of the Bushy Branch House of Prayer.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Newlin who passed away in 1975, by 3 children, Tommie & Lonnie Newlin and Keith “T.R.” Newlin, and by 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Mary Cornelison, Willa Dean Adams, L.H. “Slim” Hendrix, Ira Vann, Jr and Buell Vann and by 2 grandchildren, G. Ellsworth Kenney and Kevin Newlin.

Mrs. Newlin is survived by:
2 daughters- Emily Kenney of Manchester Martha (Stanley) Mauk of Manchester 2 sons- Ivan Newlin of Nashville Frederick (Patricia) Newlin of Singapore Daughter in Law- Mrs. Lisa Newlin of Manchester 3 sisters- Carylon Jones of Manchester Fay Galligan of Manchester Evangeline Floyd of Manchester 2 brothers- Thurman (Sally) Vann of Manchester Talmage (Bobbie) Vann of Arkansas 10 grandchildren-Chris Kenney, Marcella Kenney, Patrick Newlin, Amanda (Bill) DeFelice, Jonathan (LaDawna) Mauk, Dwight (Kari) Mauk, Cathy Kenney, Kyle (Tina) Newlin, Amelia Newlin and Kaitlyn Newlin. 2 special grandchildren-Joshua (Kayla) Hollins and Jana Hollins 9 great grandchildren- Jacob Tomasi, Matthew Kenney, Savannah Kenney, Ryan Kenney, Grant DeFelice, Kayela Mauk, Ty Mauk, Dalton Mauk and Cara Newlin
