Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Clark Brown, age 85 of Beechgrove, will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 2 PM, at Manchester Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will begin at 11 AM Wednesday until time of service. Burial will follow in the Beechgrove Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Mr. Brown passed away Monday morning, October 17, 2016 at Unity Hospital in Manchester.
Harvey was the son of the late Walt and Beulah Blackburn Brown of Beechgrove. He loved being outdoors and being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved to watch wrestling and old westerns on TV. In his younger days, he loved to fish and go to gospel singings.
In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by three brothers, Oscar, Johnny, and Leonard Brown, and one sister, Cornelia Brown. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lou Nell Pressley Brown; three sons, Harvey Keith (Sherri) Brown of Shelbyville, Roy Lee Brown and Billy Joe Brown, both of Beechgrove; two daughters, Phyllis Sutton of Manchester, and Dorothy (Alan) Bailey of Beechgrove; one brother, Franklin (Frances) Brown, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
