Unity Walk Among Motlow Breast Cancer Awareness Month Activities
The Student Government Association, Phi Theta Kappa and the Office of Student and Campus Relations worked together to plan the event. Motlow students, faculty, staff, and the public participated in a ‘Unity Walk’ to show that those affected by cancer are not alone in the fight.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages. The National Breast Cancer Foundation encourages people to be tested.
