Manchester Police Investigator Butch Stewart arrested Chastity N. Richardson from Decherd for taking over $2,000 in items from the Manchester Wal-Mart. A person reported to police that they had seen the photos on the WMSR radio web page and identified the female.
Richardson had been arrested in Chattanooga on September 11, 2012. The woman was held up in a house on Spring St in Decherd. After Stewart received the information about who she was and where she lived, he went to the residence with Decherd Police and Franklin County Sheriff’s office and the Tennessee Department of Children services. The investigator found Richardson hiding in a closet with her four children in the home. She was arrested and transported to the Coffee County Jail. All four children were taken into custody by the Department Of Children services. Chastity N. Richardson is being held in the Coffee County Jail on $70,000 dollars bond.
