The vehicle was located the next day in the early morning hours in Bradley County, TN. The vehicle had been involved in a crash on Interstate 75. The man apparently fled the scene and was located a short time later by Cleveland Police. The man was identified as John Robert Nicholson of Madison TN.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol worked the accident and advised that at the crash scene they found a firearm, ski mask, blood and other suspicious items.
Nicholson was arrested and charged by Manchester Police Investigator Brandon Tomberlin with theft of property. His bond was set at $100,000 and he’ll appear in Coffee County court on December 19, 2016. He is also facing charges in Bradley County.
The value of van was estimated to be worth $12,000 and was a total loss due to the crash.
