The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking all citizens to assist in spreading the word of a recent scam that targets senior citizens. If anyone contacts you or a family member and identifies as Mike Bell, Sgt. Ricky Summers or Judge Thomas C. Faris and advises that you are in contempt of Federal Court for failing to answer a Grand Jury summons that was signed for, it is a scam.
The individual will attempt to persuade you to obtain a Green Dot card from Wal-Mart in the amount of $700.00 and send it in. Please do NOT comply!! The phone # associated with this scam is 931-488-4496. Once again, do NOT comply with this call due to the fact it is a SCAM.
