Scam Alert: Delinquent Utility Bill Phone Call

The Tullahoma Police Department was recently notified by several local businesses and TUB of a phone scam claiming to be a local Utility Department.
The caller is advising that the business has a delinquent account with a utility company other than the one which provides them service, and the account balance must be paid to prevent termination of services.
At this time police have only received reports from businesses; however, if an individual receives a call of a similar nature, please check with your local provider to confirm your account status. Tullahoma Police would like to remind our citizens to be mindful before giving any credit card or banking information over the phone without first verifying the caller.
