Homecoming 2014 for Coffee County High School will be remembered for several things including an outstanding football game. The Raiders defeated Stone Memorial 24-21 after a terrific defensive effort on the game’s final play. The Panthers went for it on 4th down from the Coffee County 15 with only 4 seconds remaining. LB Mill Harner was able to knock down the pass in the end-zone to secure the win.
The Raiders gave up over 400 yards to Stone Memorial but stepped up when they had to, earning the Red Raiders their 2nd win on the year.
Coffee County went with 3 running backs on almost every offensive play and that helped propel Freshman Quarterback Alontae Taylor to 131 yards on 20 carries and he scored twice and senior Cody Howes finished with 123 yards on 19 carries and 1 TD. Kicker and Receiver Cole Hawkins kicked a field-goal in the game and was named Homecoming King. Morgan Taylor was voted Queen.
