Just exactly what was trying to break into a Cannon County residence recently is the question that the TWRA is searching to provide the answer for.
According to Cannon County Sheriff Department reports, Deputies were dispatched to a Vanhooser Road on Monday in reference to someone or something trying to break down the back door to the house. The resident stated that something was beating on the door before the call was made.
Upon further investigation, bite marks on the side paneling were visible along with claw marks in several spots along the door. Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency were contacted and they came out and took samples for further investigation.
The damage was done to the back door of the house. Scratch marks were visible along the door and 2 pieces of side paneling on the house had been ripped off. Reports indicate a pane of glass had also been cracked on a low lying window.
The investigation is continuing. (WGNS Radio)
