The Coffee County School Board after meeting this week with Dr LaDonna McFall is expected to vote to make McFall the new director of schools at its meeting this coming Monday. After going over a contract with the board McFall requested a slight raise over a previously mentioned amount that she would be paid. Previously, it was discussed that McFall would make around $103,000. However, citing her doctorate degree and her experience, McFall asked for $108,000. McFall also negotiated a 30 day notice if the board wishes to terminate her contract. Previously, director contracts read that the board must provide written notice if it wished to terminate the contract. However, McFall asked for a time frame of 30 days and that was agreeable to the board. The board needs five votes to hire a new director. McFall is currently deputy director of schools in Jefferson County. Thanks to the Manchester Times for their help.
