The Manchester Police and the Coffee Sheriff’s departments worked together Monday to bust two individuals for possession for resale marijuana. The departments used a tip that the duo would be attempting to sell the 1lb of pot to someone they were to meet at Hullett’s Shell on the Woodbury Highway. Tony Chanthavone of Manchester and Cody Vongnarath of Antioch, TN. are facing charges in the case. According to Manchester Police Investigator Sturat Colwell, police here contacted Nashville Metro and ask for them to search of a residence in Antioch. After getting a warrant police in Nashville found another pound of marijuana and a gun. Chanthavone and Vongnarth were booked into the Coffee County Jail.

Later in the day Manchester Police conducted a search of a residence at 328 Rogers Dr. Investigator Colwell and other officers recovered approximately a half a pound of marijuana, several hundred dollars in cash and drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending in this case.
