Man Dies after Officer-Involved Shooting in Shelbyville

An officer-involved shooting took place Wednesday night in Shelbyville.
Shelbyville Police Department responded to the scene after a report came in of a hostage situation in a camper.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is saying that 53-year-old Jeffrey Darren Hosea was apparently holding his son at gunpoint.
According to reports, officers said they witnessed Hosea committing this act, and when they entered the camper, Hosea then pointed the weapon at an officer.
TBI officials said that an officer opened fire, killing Hosea.
The investigation remains ongoing.
