Huntland Woman Sent To Federal Prison On Weapons Charges

A Franklin County woman has been sentenced in U.S. District Court for weapons charges. Vickie Lynn Burks of 2716 Pleasant Ridge Road, Huntland, TN was the person charged. Burks has been ordered to serve 51 months (4.25 yrs.) in federal prison for charges relating to the “Safe Neighborhoods Act”, according to a report released by Franklin County Investigator Todd Hindman.
The defendant was currently on state parole and will face serving the completion of her state sentence once released from federal custody.
