Human Remains Found On AEDC Property

Body FarmHuman remains including a human skull were found near Arnold Air Force Base property early Monday morning by hunters.
Manchester Assistant Police Chief Adam Floied said that the remains have possibly been in the woods for a number of years.
Floied said they are treating this as a death investigation until they identify the remains.
Coffee County Sheriff Steve Graves said the Anthropology Research Facility from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville will be here today to collect the remains. They will work to identify the remains. Graves said the skull and other body parts were found in a very thick area of trees. The Anthropology Research Facility in Tennessee is one of only five centers in the United States.
Manchester Police has taken the lead in the investigation of the case. AEDC Police, the District Attorney’s office, and Coffee County Sheriff’s Department are assisting.
