On Monday Manchester and WMSR Radio lost a good friend. Derek Harryman passed away at age 29.
Harryman was a sports writer for several years at the Saturday Independent and then at the Manchester Times. Harryman also broadcasted sports events on Thunder Radio, from basketball to softball and baseball. Derek was also the PA voice for Coffee County softball for the past several years and broadcasted football last season for WFTZ. Harryman just recently started working at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma.
