Final 6 Picked for Manchester Director of Schools

city schoolsThe Manchester Board of Education is continuing their search for a Director of Schools.
One person that is no longer in consideration is Jan Harris who was offered a job from Dade County Schools in Georgia.
New applicants were Dr. Don McPherson, former superintendent of Alabama’s Coffee County Schools and Tim Tubbs, Lauderdale County, Alabama, assistant superintendent.
The board has chosen its final 6; Sharon Harper, William Childers, Sharon Edwards, Chad Fletcher, Charles Lawson and McPherson.
As far as meeting the applicants, the board planned to split the top six’s interviews over two days, Monday, March 7 and Thursday, March 10, at 4 p.m. each day.
The board is hoping to be down to three finalist by the March 14 meeting, which will be held at Westwood Middle School.
