Coffee County has made the short list with two German auto related companies requesting interviews with local industrial representatives. Bill Comer, Industrial Board of Coffee County chairman, told the Tullahoma Planning and Coordinating Committee last week that two German auto supply companies have requested the interviews to find out more about what the county could offer, if they were to expand their operations here.
Ted Hackney, Industrial Board of Coffee County, executive director said that the German companies had requested information through the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development about possible counties that could supply them with adequate land and possible facilities to accommodate their plants. Out of 33 counties, the short list had been narrowed to six with Coffee being included among the select few, Hackney said. He did not identify the company.
