After several district championships a region championship, one sectional championship and state tournament berth, Chase Jones has resigned as head coach of the Coffee County baseball team. Jones will be leaving the school system as well after serving the system for 13 years. Jones finishes with well over 200 wins as head of the program. He also served as an assistant football coach a few years ago. Jones’ teams went on to win six district championships: 2003, 2004, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011. In 2010, the Raiders went on to win the region and beat Tullahoma in the state sectional to earn the program’s first state tournament berth. Jones does plan to coach again in another system.
